Snap! I have one as well. I also have a ghost mug. If you go into Poundland they have some great Hallowe'en stuff, including the sweetest dinky little ghost tea lights for £1. It is precious little things like this that bring sweet little joyous moments to a mundane day, things that both make life worth living and prove you are still alive to the child inside. All good.
"sweet little joyous moments to a mundane day" - perfect ☺️ sometimes they're just the thing to lift the spirits ( oops just realised what I did there π )
It's lovely, and yes you have to feed and treat your inner child. My Dad kept his going until the week he died in his eighties. Loving little jokes, cartoons, buying singing Christmas novelties and always, always pressing the buttons on the musical things in shops. Now I do the same, it feeds my inner child and remembers his.
Too cute and it makes you smile. Win win! About two years ago I bought two different sized fabric gnomes. They are too cute and make me smile, too. We've had 3 fabric Doozers (Fraggle Rock) and a fabric Kermit for several decades. My child within is happy.
My counselor taught me that my little child inside still needs me; she needs to feel safe to play. So I scoop her up when she is scared, and ask her what she needs to feel safe, and then I give that to her. And sometimes, it's a silly little toy. Off she runs to play as adult me looks on, with love.
I have five little dancing ducks, all dressed in little old fashioned clothes, probably 2 inches tall. I wanted them as soon as I laid eyes on them. They just reminded me of something that I can't fully remember. A childhood book? Perhaps a toy I had? I don't know. I look at them sometimes and try to remember, but I can't. All I know is that I am always glad I bought them. Sometimes, we just need to give in to that inner child.
Well, I have some rubber ducks that sit on the side of my bathtub. I've had repair people mention something about the rubber ducks, and I told them every tub needs some floating rubber ducks. You've got a little ghost and I've got witches to get ready for Halloween. This year is passing by too fast. Thanks for reminding me it's almost Halloween. Galestorm
