The Art Wall

I always give my counselling clients the information and guidance that if they don’t gel with me then it’s perfectly normal and acceptable for them to ask for another counsellor .
No hard feelings will ever be felt, I say and mean it

One of my latest clients, I met online briefly, to negotiate  therapy . I was at home when we met on teams and not quite au fait with the softwhere , I hadn’t yet mastered the blocking out of everything in the background.
I chatted with my prospective client and by the end of the session they made it very clear that they were very much looking forward at proceeding with therapy.

I hoped it was my professional friendliness that hooked them
But before we parted they shared that they loved my taste in art, especially Enikö Eged’s Running Dogs

Exactly 27 years ago I went to see the film Entrapment at the multiplex in Sheffield, I only know this because I made a note of it in my old Filofax with the mark 9/10 scribbled next to it. (
Exactly 27 years later I’m watching it on channel 4, Jesus I was 37 then….how time flies…it’s still a good movie

A whinny just at a good point in the action heralded the return of the field ponies as Sue herded them at dusk for their summer grazing
It’s nice to have them back

I’m such a creature of habit …….

  3. Your method of talking with your clients and assuring them it's okay for them to choose a different counselor must reassure them they're good and you're good.
I love that there is so much art around so each person is able to choose what floats their boat! Your art in your home is special to you, as it should be.

    Hugs!

  4. I love your art wall too, John. It inspired me to make one in my home too (smaller, though it may grow in time). In fact, I think I'll do a post about it for an upcoming "Sunday in the Art Room" blog hop. May I include the photo of your art wall (with a link to your blog) in that post as well?

  5. I have an art wall too, in the hallway, so I pass it all day long. Even Jack's artwork is up there. Your wall is lovely.
It took me years to find a counselor that understood not just me but my life, she worked in healthcare for many years and she's married to a Dutch man.

    2. I was going to suggest that. I remember once or twice in the past we sent you a photo (was it a view out our windows?) and it was so fun to see everyone's response.
