Cat Fight

I’m understanding the cat rift just a little more
Last night Bun  (well I think it was Bun) - on the chair back, challenged Weaver ( on the floor) to a fight
Roger quickly intervened and separated the sisters quite effectively but I sense the whole thing is about power and belonging ….its a Game of Thrones a feline version
Roger is beside himself with the stress of it all
Mary couldn’t  give a flying f8ck……

At 11pm it was still going on
So I stood up and yelled into the room
Sort yourselves out you fuckers”🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

The winner will stay …
And I went to bed

Today I’m up and early, counselling clients between 12 and 6 pm . Before that I met Polly for breakfast
She gave me that lovely Lino print

  1. When the pattern appeared that when one was in, the other was out, I wondered if they were having trouble occupying the same space. I don't know enough about cats to know if they will sort it out on their own. I am with Roger, the stress would get to me.

  2. Our two cats rarely fight, but every so often Rosita tries to run at Consuelo for the heck of it!

Do you have Feliway in Wales, it is a pheromone that can be sprayed or plug in outlet. Vets use it in their offices. It has calming effects and is used for kerfuffles with pets. If you can get some, might be worth try to have peace reign again in chez Gray. Jen

  6. I remember reading advice about not taking on two cats at the same time. After your experiences I never will !

Poor Roger, I hope you took him to bed with you! Blessed are the peacemakers, after all, and they are in short supply lately.

  8. Cats fighting can be quite fierce. I've only seen it happen once.
Is there a solution that the Vet might provide.
Sweet Roger does not like the cat chaos.

  9. But how weird that this has just started happening relatively recently. Didn't they coexist just fine before? (Except for Weaver's misbehavior, which maybe was actually sometimes Bun? I'm so confused.)

    1. They have always been , well like sisters , years ago I had two sisters Bette and Joan ( go figure) and Bette went missing for two months , there was hell to pay when she returned , it’s almost as though they had forgotten each other

  10. Like Steve, I’m so confused. Can’t imagine how you’re working it all out. Anyway, you have a very different approach (of course you do) than we did with our cats. We simply said, “Be nice.” Surprisingly, that was usually all it took.
