Dusk

Dusk in Trelawnyd
The cottage creaks and groans gently as it cools
in the breeze
But the chickens still look busy in the garden
As Weaver and Bun hunt in the pony field
Like tigers

Love your gift of word pictures in setting the scene in and around your sweet cottage and lovely garden especially with the hens in the yard! Please let us know if Weaver and Bun catch any wild things.
The trees here are beginning to be blown back and forth and the cloud cover thickens as a storm approaches. Cooler temperatures for the next few days - Joy!!

    Hugs!

John, everything about that picture brings joy to me! I am okay without seeing rodents captured. Have a delightful evening. It’s 97 here! Would you mind giving your email address (again) please? Carol in A.👍💕

  8. I love a creaky house. Mine (2 houses ago) was built around 1660. I left 30 yrs ago, but still miss it (divorce).

  9. Your writing is poetic. Nicely done.
Weaver and Bun are on the hunt. They'll keep the rodent population in check.

Love that W/B are expanding their area of control. Plus it will give Mary and Roger a break. I keep looking for my own rusty chickens, no success as yet, I clearly shop the wrong places.

Those kittens have certainly grown up into feline hunters! Do they bring you back their trophies? Dead? Or alive?

  18. I bet those rusty chickens are a lot less bother than our old ones eh!! I could cope with a small flock of them. ;-)
