  4. John, do you have any idea if Weaver's blog will continue to exist? I have started reading/rereading from the beginning and hope it will last.

    1. How awful , we need to keep seeing and listening to the real people from both sides

And sadly Hersh was indeed brought home. His poor parents and all of the other family members waiting to hear about their loved ones. Watching from this side of the world one can only hope that someone somewhere does the right thing.

  8. Hersh's funeral was today in Jerusalem. Thousands of people lined the streets with flags and accompanied him on his last journey. He and the other five abductees were shot in the head about two hours after the families screamed at the Gaza border. In the tunnels where they were held after they were kidnapped from the party on the seventh of October. It is impossible to describe how much pain has been here for so long. Thank you John.

How tragic and unnecessary. I'm in tears, too.
Sadly, hatred is taught and it is not in us at birth.

    Hugs

You would think after repeating such evil acts time and time again we humans would begin to learn something but we never do. Just heartbreaking.

  20. So sad, and inflicting such pain is so unnecessary... I will never understand the cruelty displayed by some people. Though in my experience they are the minority. Or am I just lucky, like most of us, and there but by the grace of gawd go I? I just shake my head and cannot understand.
