Lunch In

The sushi have been a mindful make, what with making a prawn paste, highlighted by salmon and anchovies, some have beetroot and carrot, that gives a sweeter taste, others have cheese paste, tartare, cucumber and coriander.

A financial advisor called today. He was amused at Roger who whilst giddy had trouble running up and down the stairs.

“ He can’t coordinate” I explained “ He just runs at the staircase and hopes for the best”

He refused the offer of sushi

I’ll leave you with the lisping choir Grupo Talia

  2. Very professional looking sushi, but with all the fish, I'd have passed too! Dear Roger, I love the idea that he just rushes at the stairs and hopes for the best. He'll get the hang of it one day. xx

  3. Your sushi is so beautifully made. Are you self taught or took a class?

A financial advisor who makes house calls? Social or professional, tell us more.

My Jack Russell Papillon cross attacks the stairs in exactly the same way as Roger - and has been known to get two steps from the top to roll all the way to the bottom again when running just a bit short of puff! So glad there is another just like it! The sushi looks amazing and I bet tasted out of this world. A financial adviser who refused such culinary delights? Did he think you were trying to bribe him? Have a good weekend!

As my Dad used to say, 'I've had sushi twice - a first and last time'! No thank you, John, but yours does look beautiful and professional.
Roger is a never ending delight as is the choir!

    Hugs!

That sushi looks very professional... I'm inspired to make some definitely now! Bought all of the ingredients yesterday to give it a go but I forgot to cook the rice last night and chill it so will be a cook, cool and roll later attempt this arvo. SO bought fresh tuna to use I got some sashimi grade salmon cheap to try...salmon an avocado for me! Bless Roger all legs and no brain .... it would be a delight to watch his attempts. Love the choir!

    1. Jo a few tips

.don’t be shy rolling out, be robust

Use extra rice wine vinegar when seasoning the rice

Cream cheese out of a tube is fine to use

Buy a special sushi knife ( just very sharp and used exclusively for sushi)

    2. Ps email me photo of your sushi xxx

  17. A video of Roger attempting the stairs would be fun...we could all have a good laugh! With him not at him I hasten to add.!
I would try the sushi as long as there was no wasabi anywhere near it. I once took a " nibbly thing" off a plate at a wedding and had to go outside to spit it out before my head blew off!!
