Counselling and Patio

Thursday is my counselling day. In the morning I see my own clients and in the afternoon I continue to see my own counsellor. Every other Wednesday I see my own supervisor and every month I have joint supervision from my placement supervisor on a Thursday lunchtime.
Today was the day for that too.
This afternoon,  I feel a little counselled out, so braved the cold and sat on the patio with a coffee, closed eyes to the wind.
I sat like that for an age and it felt very good.
The wind whipping away negative thoughts allowing space for the objective and the balanced.

Village leader Ian ,dropped by with the Flower Show Schedules and I’ve just dropped the first one off at Jenny Morris’ home, surrounded by the most delightful allotments . She is the “ face.” Of the flower show this year

Im meandering to the end of my annual leave weeks and I have recharged nicely . The patio planters look pretty and colourful, another small job done, a list line ticked

Tomorrow , Janet and I are off to see Sweet Charity at Theatre Clwyd and Saturday I’ve booked to see
“ Freud’s Last Session” at the Storyhouse
It seems an appropriate film given the counselling feel of my holiday

I’ve learned a great deal this week,
That’s why I’m weary and tired

Tomorrow , I’m making sushi
Bloody lovely

What a lovely, colorful, and serene setting for relaxation is your garden. Bliss to enjoy even if you need a jumper on.
Hope the play and film are enjoyable and you're less weary when it's time to return to work.

    Hugs!

It’s called WALK AND TALK we have it here, it’s a less stressful type of talking therapy

You do more in one day than I do in a whole week. But out of left field I have booked myself onto a 5 week pottery course, I am so excited to have something "me" to look forward to. Squee.

Your patio pots look delightful...you just need some sun now to fully enjoy them. I would like to make some sushi...it's very expensive here; I might give that a go too!

  18. You'll need time to unwind. That is a lot of counselling, giving and receiving all in one day. Wow.

  19. Freud's favourite joke: A young Prince was walking down Oxford Street when he saw his doppelganger approaching him. He asked him 'Did your mother ever work at the palace?'. No, replied his lookalike, but my father did!

  20. It must take time to fully assimilate a counselling session. So much to process. Your time in the garden with a coffee must have helped a lot.

Great to see the flower show programmes and they look good!

  21. We had a woman here in our town who tried having counseling while exercising (treadmill) at the same time. My friend tried it, but found it too "open," meaning, there were others around and talking about her troubles and feelings while others were within earshot was just too unnerving. My counselor uses a hand held EMDR device and she said walking will do for the brain what her EMDR device does. No wonder my gf and I feel so good after walking and talking! Counseling and being counseled would drain my batteries quickly! I'd need much alone time to recover from that; your patio with its riot of color is perfect for that. I LOVE the flower show pamphlet!
