It’s Friday and I’ve finished the kitchen and it’s Friday and I’ve passed my filmed Counselling assessment I will have the opportunity to critically assess my own skills next week, as we have to write an essay review.
I hate seeing myself on video.
The weather is brighter today and Trendy Carol’s Hubby phoned to see if one of the dogs could go around to keep him company. I’ve sent Mary around because she loves a cuddle slightly more than Roger.
The kitchen now looks fresh and clean.
I’ve used a Jasmine White only in order to allow the colours of the paintings to pop a little, but as you can see, nothing matches too well, which suits me just fine.
Can you see the felt scotch egg hanging from the window!!!

DeleteNicely done! New paint is an excellent refresh. The art display looks really good too. A video self-critique is never easy. Just identify 2-3 things you feel you'd like to be slightly different and the task is not so hard. When I did consulting the firm had us critique each other and after a few rounds it becomes just ordinary. It is interesting (sometimes surprising) to hear about how other people see us.

ReplyDeleteOh I hate seeing myself on video - I make quite a lot training/education videos (part of my work), and I also edit them myself. It has made me physically ill, nowadays I tolerate it a bit better. I now know I have some very annoying mannerisms (at least they annoy me).

I have a chicken collection on the flyover in my kitchen.my kitchen is a gally kitchen so only a small bit of wall, mostly cabinets. I would prefer a kitchen with a table in it, but it is what it is. ReplyDeleteCongratulations on passing your video assessment; a relief no doubt but in my opinion well deserved you are the one person I would definately pick to be a counsellor. The kitchen is a triumph the jasmine white certainly makes your art pop. One thing that surprises me is that the picture of the running dogs is much bigger than I had imagined it when you showed it in another post, I absolutely love it and indeed the whole art wall.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on passing the assessment! I find that when I'm on a video call with someone I can only watch myself. I'm always self-conscious about how I look and the angle of the camera, which is funny because I'm usually not self-conscious about my appearance at all.
