Yes I was very proud of our village and it’s friends
DeleteOMG What a wonderful display of cakes, veggies, flowers and crafty makes. The whole village must be immensley proud of all their contributions. Most of all well done John, you deserve a first prize xxxx
ReplyDeleteIt’s been hard work , but well worth it when the hall was full of people
DeleteAbsolutely brilliant John, well done that man. I was smiling away whilst looking at the photos x
ReplyDeleteMy favourite moment was after my friend Eirlys ( who had recently been bereaved ) won the best boiled egg after dropping it in the road before she got there
DeleteShe was so happy
These photos also gave me joy. What a lovely village/neighbors you have. Job well done, John. ♥
ReplyDeleteEveryone seemed to have come up trumps, I think the camaraderie of the show was needed after lockdown
DeleteWow to all the competitors and especially to the vegetable tulips. Gigi
ReplyDeleteI loved the way the judge gave that modest little entry the Best in show rosette
DeleteShe absolutely loved it
Looks like a wonderful day. Well worth all the effort. x
ReplyDeleteIt was
DeleteCongratulations! Everything looks delightful, what a wonderful community.
ReplyDeleteMaybe all communities are thirsty for an event they can feel part of
DeleteThat looks absolutely fabulous
ReplyDeleteIt was and felt very sweet
DeleteBrilliant!!! But what of Sconegate????
ReplyDeleteMa Manley won
DeleteI’m glad it was her if it wasn’t you!
DeleteAnd me and Terry were not placed in the scones or the quiche but I did get second in the boiled fruit cake which means I effectively won
DeleteI bet you're happily knackered! Judging by the smiles, it looks like a fabulous time was had by all. Thanks for letting us share it. xx
ReplyDeleteIt’s lovely to be able to share it
DeleteA Grand Day Out indeed. I wish I'd been there.
ReplyDeleteThere’s always next year
DeleteThat looks wonderful! Well done to all. I want to live in your village. I’ve lived here twenty years and know precisely four people in my street. You have an amazing community.
ReplyDeleteMy village is no different than many , and even in cities there are pockets of community very similar .I suspect ,
DeleteIt actually made me well up looking at the photos. What a wonderful event. Wonderful turn out and exhibits. All of it heart warming and amazing. Well done all and especially you John.
ReplyDeleteI made a speech thanking everyone for taking part and one of the women in the village stood up and thanked us for bringing the show back
DeleteIt was rather an emotional moment
What a stellar turnout! And all the entries look wonderful, just fabulous. So Ma Manley won Sconegate? Congrats to her and condolences to Kelda.
ReplyDeleteKelda was happy too as her pet photo won and her cupcakes made second . Her tictok video has gone a bit viral and people in the show made a point of telling her which was nice
DeleteThat all looks wonderful!! I’m happy for the big turnout and all the entries! You may now relax. - Jenn
ReplyDeleteI’m off to bed shortly x
DeleteThat looks like a highly successful day! Well done to all involved. x
ReplyDeleteThank you for saying
DeleteCongratulations on a great show. Reminds me of a church bazaar I used to attend years ago.
ReplyDelete🤫
DeleteAbsolutely fantastic! Job well done and congratulations to all of you. Wish you weren’t a pond away. I’d have been there for sure.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome anytime
DeleteYour show looks like a huge success. Over here in Suffolk our Fayre and Show was a bit of a wash-out - very wet all day. I got 2 firsts, 2 seconds and a third
ReplyDeleteThat’s a good showing in our show for those placing a you would have won 6.50
DeleteI was going to ask about Mrs Manley! Well done on what looks like a terrific show. Amazing output and talent there. Now sit down a minute!
ReplyDeleteMa Manley won best in show ( cookery) for her Bakewell tart
DeleteShe almost won the cup for most points in cookery
Looks like a grand time was had by all. How did you get on with your competition with Terry?
ReplyDeleteI won only because my boiled fruit cake came second , non of our other entries got placed
DeleteMany thanks for showing us all the Flower Show pics. It lifted my spirits!
ReplyDeleteIt’s moved many of our spirits x
DeleteYou should be proud of yourself and your little community....Thank you for showing us something like this still exists. I loved the coloured crotchet rugs....Every home should have one!
ReplyDeleteI’m proud of our TCA
DeleteAND YES I’m proud of the people that went the extra Mile today , not only the villagers but my family, and people that used to support my sisters flower show which has now ended
Wonderful photos and I recognize some of the folks to my amazement. Psst ...is Hattie pregnant again?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a delicious dinner and most resful night's sleep.
Hugs!
What a rude thing to ask. You're saying someone looks overweight and that's incredibly hurtful and rude. I hope your comment will be deleted whn John sees it. I hope Hattie doesn't see it.
DeleteI think it’s the type of dress she’s wearing . Babs isn’t a rude commentator
DeleteAs the saying goes, you should never ask if, or assume someone is, pregnant unless you can actually see the baby exiting! :D Loved the pics, John.
DeleteMakes me think about entering our local ag show again in spring. Tina in West Oz.
Hattie doesn't look the slightest bit pregnant! X
DeleteYou're right Col, she doesn't. How unkind of someone to suggest that she is, made all the worse by saying "Psssst" which is like whispering behind someones back. I also hope lovely Hattie
Deletedoesn't see the comments.
Well done, Trelawnyd. A wonderful show and a wonderful show of work. Every photo made me smile, and it was lovely to see the guests of honour who revealed the hall plans. Beautifully tidy and well presented, and a terrific variety of entries. I hope these photo shows the amount of planning, head scratching and hard work that goes into presenting a proper village show like this one. Tremendous, all of you!
ReplyDeleteI’m very proud of today and what we all achieved
DeleteWhat I would have given to have been there! Thank you for all those wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteWelcome x
DeleteLooks like it was a fantastic success!
ReplyDeleteWe made a 1000£ for the TCA so financially it went well too

ReplyDeleteWe try to make things fun
DeleteMarvelous. You must be very proud!!!
ReplyDeleteI am
DeleteWhat a lovely event! Congratulations to you and all the organizers on a job well done. If I were nearby, I'd be there in a shot. xx0N2
ReplyDeleteAll of you would be very welcome
DeleteA stunning feat of logistics and community spirit by all concerned. Puts me to shame as I rarely volunteer to help out with, or even participate in, anything.
ReplyDeleteI’m not saying it wasn’t hard work
DeleteOf course it was
But sometimes it’s worth going an extra mile when the repayment is so positive
Oh my, these photos are absolutely wonderful and brought tears of joy to my eyes! Tickled pea green that the family who had the Hall's original plans were able to attend, were acknowledged, and presented the plans to the TCA. Congratulations to ALL! Well done, John dear and everyone who participated in any fashion!
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to see their surprise when they were shown to a reserved table with tea and cake lol
DeleteThank you for reminding me of fundamental decency and goodness, in potato and gladiola form. Sunflower cupcakes!

Not just bringing the village together.
ReplyDeleteBringing the online blogging community together by the look of the comments. Both good to see
WOW! You must be so proud of your team John, and the response of Trelawnyd. The photos were so impressive - there are some fantastic gardeners amongst you, and the cooking was terrific too. When you've the energy I'll bet there are plenty of stories about the day. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful fun and well attended day - you should all be very proud of yourselves, you all did so well. Brilliant organisation John x

ReplyDeleteLove these photos John. We would call it a fair here and the flowers, baking and crafts is always my favorite part.
ReplyDeleteLovely ohotos of the very best sort of village occasion.
ReplyDeleteHow I loved looking at all these photos. What a talented bunch of people you have in the village. The turnout and entries clearly indicate the village flower show was missed in a big way. I loved the vegetable tulips.... so very clever. Food, flowers, crafts and kinship... as it should be in a village. Well done to all... and especially to you John for organising such a splendid community event.
