Going Home

Sheffield will always be my second home.
It’s a flying visit this time, with only time to catch up with my friend Mike , watch Miss Saigon at the Crucible before driving back over the Pennines to Manchester airport and Barcelona
I love that Snake Pass is open and this afternoon stopped to catch up with this view which means that I’m almost home.

  1. Shirley and I have got tickets to see "Miss Saigon" next month. I hope it is good. The photo is I believe of Ladybower Reservoir in the Woodlands Valley.

  3. Snake Pass gives access to some of the best walking country in the North.

  4. I'm now quietly humming Dvorak's Largo - Going Home. We played it at both of my parent's funerals and it always brings a tear. Enjoy Barcelona. I hope it's not too hot for you! xx

When i go home to New Orleans there is a certain view from the plane, not even a really lovely one, that tells me I'm home.

The thing about the Snake Pass, like Buttertubs up here in the Dales - if it is a bad winter both are more often closed than open. Enjoy your holiday. x

That's 2 posts since you said you were not posting for a week.. It reminds me of when you were at an event at the village hall and left early as you wanted to post on here.
Priorities in your life seem somewhat skewed.

I'm glad a blog isn't my main priority in life.
A strange life where every happening or thought is considered for a blog post.

The Snake Pass drive is always a happy one for me as it means family visits to Manchester.
    Did it on Sunday.
That’s some land slip in the road though near The Snake Pass Inn!
