International Women’s Day

Even if it is , I’m being kind to myself day today.
A movie, Joyland at the Storyhouse this afternoon , then a take out pad Thai with chicken from my favourite stall in Chester Market.

The temperature has dropped considerably today and it’s trying to snow
The dogs are all curled up tightly in the reading chair in the kitchen

  1. After yesterday's post - how apt. There are some remarkable women out there - Auntie Glad was one of them. xx

You have lovely plans for today!
That is one very full kitchen reading chair, too, but oh, so warm. Sweet!

    Hugs!

Sounds like a day to be snug. (But a lady on that photo looks remarkably like Tim Brooke Taylor!)

    2. International Women's Day should always be celebrated of course. And so should International Men’s Day - which takes place on November 19th each year.

    3. This is true, but it ignores the fact that man commit suicided at high rates than women, young boys are dropping out of the labor market in large numbers. Women at attending and graduating college at higher number then men.
International Woman's Day highlights the struggles women face in developing countries, but it is used to push a false narrative a develop counties were the young men are falling behind, but they are told they are toxic.

  7. I'm envious -- you seem to have quite a variety of places to buy restaurant food. And theatres! I'd have to drive two hours to get to any choices there. I do enjoy hearing what you think of the movies you see. -Kate
