Catch Up

Not the best photo , but you get the gist .
Everyone seemed to enjoy the food, which was tasty and filling and the whisky cake was a bit of a winner especially as I cheated with squirty cream.
We hadn’t got together since well before the Queen’s demise, so there were lots of opinions flying about
A Nice, relaxed evening

A suitably blurry photo to protect the innocent. The guilty was in charge of the shutter button. Good that all had a nice time.

  4. Did y'all talk in Welsh or employ the language of the oppressors? Looks like you were all set up for "pass the parcel" in the top picture.

  5. A comfy seat for everyone and not an animal to be seen. I've got visions of them huddling outside in the cold, cold wind, crying to be let in . . . . and fed!

    1. I had tapas to start , ham rolled in cheese, and mushroom croquettes. Aoli and bread. Then two types of chicken, rice and chorizo, one with olives and tomato the other with extra garlic and paprika .
      The pud was the easiest
I made Genoese sponge, top with a blob of nice ice cream , caramel sauce and cream smothered with whiskey

  17. A lovely gathering. Food layout looks so inviting. How do you seat so many at your table? Or is it self serve and eat on laps? Where do you put the dogs?

    1. There was six of us , so too many to sit around the table which is a shame as I love sitting AT a table .
The supper was dinner on laps …..
The dogs are never allowed in the living room/ kitchen when we are eating, Roger and Dorothy are food led and silly .
It’s a strict rule of mine

    1. Lol this made me smile . Before I had the new heating system , the cottage was often too cold for my family to cope with. I was used to th3 temperature but when I made dinner for them when my brother was alive, they all sat where you see how, with coats and duvets around them

    2. LOL!!! Well, that would certainly be some time to remember! Nothing like having nibble or tea with a duvet wrapped around one, lol.
