Nothing like a mooch and lunch with a good friend. The gardens look quite lush, despite the heat we've had. Agapanthus is on my wish list of plants to get. Just need to find a space! xx
It seems we are in agreement that everything was lovely except for the picture with the somewhat creepy looking doll in it. Yikes! Looks like a wonderful day otherwise. Ranee (MN) USA
Yes me too!-You can be minding your own business wandering down the lane and a clown could drag you down a rain drain -So best be alert to their mischief x
I do have to agree though, when I was taken to the circus as a child (1960s and 1970s) the clowns gave me the creeps - I didn't find them funny at all and always wondered why their car broke down. I kept shouting 'get it fixed', and my parents told me off (my father was a farmer so he would have had none of that nonsense as machinery had to work).
Looks like a great afternoon. I've got a friend in England who loves Ness Gardens and has told me about visiting there. It is the first time I've seen up close. Thanks for the photos. Good luck with the agapanthus, and you're right, that doll is a bit creepy. Lukas sends his best meow.
That doll would be creepier if it started crying Momma, Momma while you were standing there looking at it! Otherwise, it was just a doll! Lovely garden ... Perfect for a hot afternoon stroll.
Ohhh Gentlemen that Lunch? Sign me up! And I love those photos (the doll, though). And you're like me. Every time I go to the Arboretum or the Botanic Gardens here, I buy a plant. How can you not?
Why is it middle class ladies that lunch, and not middle class men? Let's go boldly forth and change that to friends who meet for lunch and a nice walk in the garden.
My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find most of your post's very interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing such useful info, and again awesome site! Online gun deals. Oooh that doll !! I never liked dolls as a child and only used them to play hairdressers with, cutting all their hair off before lining them up on the shelf behind my bed where I couldn't see them. The teddies lined up at the bottom of the bed where they could watch over me and keep an eye on the dangerous dolls. :-)
Beautiful photos except for the doll which looks a bit spooky somehow.

ReplyDeleteThey do like warmth and constructed roots pat x
DeleteI wonder who had left the baby under the tree? I trust you rescued him/her. The mother must have been desperate.
ReplyDeleteWe left well alone
DeleteLovely shots! The water lilies especially grabbed me. Some poor child lost their baby! That makes me so sad.
ReplyDeleteIt felt “ placed” to me

DeleteVery few people find clowns funny
DeleteThe doll made me laugh. Someone put a highchair out near the road for pickup (Freecycle). My husband wanted to get a baby doll to strap in.
ReplyDeleteI found it creepy

Those really are water lilies, floating on water covered in white blossoms. Also, floating on water, covered in white blossoms.
