Conwy Estuary from Deganwy

It’s not many people that have a full scale medieval castle which dominates an estuary as a view on the way home from work.
I stopped this morning to look at the view.
And felt grateful

I really wish I had checked a map to see where Conwy is in relation to you before we toured.

  2. We sometimes don't appreciate what is on our doorsteps do we? I used to visit Aberystwyth and loved to stand at the old ruined castle. There is a view of all of Cardigan Bay.

  3. I see that the local authorities are a little slack about cleaning the tops of the street lights.

Lovely! It seems a good setting for a historical novel or play. The sea wall looks very old, too. And I thought I had a beautiful commute when I drove throulg a park. You win!

We drove from the Dublin - Holyhead ferry to Sheffield this lunchtime - drizzle had set in.
I can recommend Stena Plus as an upgrade if you go to Ireland soon. Comfortable lounge, coffee, croissants, newspapers etc on tap - all for c£25 on your ticket
A full grill or eggs benedict as well if fancied for an extra fee.
    Worth every penny.
