Fed Up

 I’m fed up today.
I don’t feel well either, which I know is probably a part of being fed up.
Two mini holidays ruined in just two weeks.
I’ve messaged Trendy Carol and asked if the girls can stay a bit longer and then went back to bed.
I’ve only just got up again and ate, somewhat ironically, a thin Italian style from the freezer.
I’m returning to bed shortly

  1. Having your plans scuppered is bound to make you feel fed up. You've been running at high speed, and your body is now telling you to slow down. Take good care of yourself. You know the routine; eat well, sleep, keep hydrated. xx

  2. Relax my darling and stop charging around. You know it makes sense and that is exactly what you would be telling us to do if we were in your position.

  3. It is currently 36C in Rome. Far too hot for Welsh travellers.

  4. I would be really pissed off!

  5. How about a mini-holiday in Normandy, accessible through the Chunnel by train? Unless train travel is being as unpredictable or capricious as air travel.

  6. You could probably do with a good sleep. I will sing you a lullaby ' lullaby and goodnight, with soft flowers around you, slumber sweetly in the moonlight, close your eyes and go to sleep. Hope you feel better tomorrow. x

  7. Four years ago my Christmas holiday to Genoa was scuppered by a drone at Gatwick. I took as it something that was meant to be, or rather not meant to be. Brush yourself down and get on with being at home. These cancellations are massive news here so you must have known the risks involved. As Simone says, I hope you are better in the morning.

  9. Sorry to hear you are feeling down and rough John. Not been around myself for a while as you might have guessed. Junk food and sleep can help. Be well.

  10. It's not surprising you are feeling under the weather, hopefully a good sleep will help things back onto an even keel. xx

  11. You have proven to all of us that air travel is definitely unreliable. 2 trips cancelled in 2 weeks is quite remarkable. I suppose you felt after one cancellation, it could not happen twice. Oh well! Write it off as breaking some kind of record. Things can only get better.

  12. Sorry you've been thwarted again, but take the opportunity to have a decent rest before you go back to work.

  15. I would be fed up too! All the energy and effort it takes to organise oneself for a holiday, only to be thwarted twice!
Indulge yourself a bit, it doesn't hurt to feel negative thoughts and feelings for a day, then, back at 'em, cowboy!
You can't keep a good man down!

  18. John, you could be sickening for something, so maybe it was fortuitous that you have been denied a trip abroad. Far better to be in your own home, with friends around you and to go back to bed and s l e e p . . . . Wishing you well. x
