Toilet news, Towels, The Northman and Chewbacca saves the day

There seems to be a bit of interest in the location and origin of my second loo! It’s located in the shed outside and was, as far as we were told, non functioning and not plumbed in .
The shed has been the repository for my bike and dog crates for years so I’m delighted to see it resurrected  back into a working, if basic bog!
Bless the CBM, he got it working and cleaned it up and left some toilet paper inside for me.
That’s going beyond his remit.

I’ve been out for the day, as the rest of the bathroom was ripped out, the new bathroom was delivered and all of the electrics were put in for the shower. I met a friend for breakfast then , not being far from work , I called into the hospice for a long shower, before popping into TK Max to buy some impractical but delightfully fluffy white towels for my new heated towel rail.

After that I went to see the dire Viking “ epic” The Northman which was an hour I’m never going to get back again. I walked out early, tired of the mud and gore . It wasn’t a total waste of time as I popped into the new  flash Marks for some tahini paste and practiced with my news at nav on the journey home.

My nephew texted about our forthcoming visit to comic con. Apparently some of my heroes from Tbe Walking Dead will be there! How exciting….
I’m reminded of this incredibly moving clip of “ chewbacca” meeting one of his fans
Now that comic con character has class

  1. It's a shame that the video wasn't taken from behind Chewbacca, it would have been good to see the boy's reaction.

  3. Ooh, new plush towels! I’m happy for you and your two loos, but if I pop by, I’ll use the one indoors! And now I think I need a translator: Is the new Marks a new Marks & Spencer? And what on earth is tan paste?

  5. Oh, that video of Chewbacca is so moving. I'm sure it made that little boy's day, if not year! I could do with a garden loo. Save me having to remove muddy boots just to have a wee. What a kind man your CBM is, not only fixing the toilet but equipping it with the necessaries. I saw a clip of that Viking movie on TV. Not my type of film at all! xx

Sweet video and kudos for Chewbacca!
Methinks your new loo could use a bit of leftover paint and a new floor. Yes? That Peptobismol pink paint has got to go.

    Hugs! Barbara Anne

  11. Shouldn't your new working outside loo have some inspirational quotes on the wall? I'll start you off: "It always seems impossible until it's done" - Nelson Mandela.

  13. Nice to show that sweet Chewbacca for "May the 4th" day! The outside loo is very handy! Sounds like that CBM is a really good worker!

  14. Cheerful Bathroom Man sounds and acts like a superhero! That guy knows how to work. Does he wear a cape with CBM on his chest and his underpants worn over his trousers? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's Cheerful Bathroom Man!

  15. It's fantastic to "acquire" a second loo without any effort :)

You could start dressing up for Comic-Con, then dance in public in persona.

  17. Love Chewie!
And It's fantastic that now you have a working loo for the summer! Who knew?
I don't know about the Northman, though. Love me some Alexander. And ComicCon? Awesome! You need to dress up!

    XOXO

  18. Your Cheerful Bathroom Guy deserves a bit of a bonus for going above and beyond for the outdoor bathroom!
That video is so touching ... The little guy in a wheelchair and Chewbacca being so gentle with him! ❤️

  19. You are the first person I hear of that renovates a bathroom and comes away with a bonus bathroom. You'll have to jazz up the bonus bathroom. Maybe a paisley toilet and matching sink then add some paint to the walls. A garden toilet is quirky and will add nicely to your home.

  20. It will be fun to go to Comic Con with your nephew again and see some of your Walking Dead favorites! I love Comic Con but I have not been since the pandemic. That video is wonderful! What a kind and loving Chewbacca!

  21. Couldn't you tell what the Northman was going to be like just from the poster? If that wasn't enough you could have listened to the director/writer talking about it too. I don't know how he got the funding.

  23. It will be fun to see pictures of the two of you dressed up.

I love the comment about decorating your garden loo. Too true. I can't wait to see what you do with it...because I know that you will do something.

  24. I hope you decorate your little outhouse as well. A vintage mirror and small flowers painted on one wall would be my leaning. Just curious, will the water to the toilet have to be turned off in the winter to prevent the pipes from freezing? I'm assuming this little building is unheated.

  25. Oh, John - you started my morning with tears. Darling video of Chewbacca and the little boy. Can't wait to see the new bathroom, and what a bonus - another in your back yard!

  26. Thanks for clarifying the back story of the newly discovered loo! I'll skip "The Northman."
