Day 2

When Nursing a hangover, there is one sure fire cure and that is a brisk walk in the dales.
I haven’t been to Derwent and Ladybower for years, and it’s wonderful to see the beauty of the place once again.
Had lunch in Hathersage and am just about to meet another friend for a early tea in town.

  1. I haven't been there for many a year either John-I recall walking for hours with a rucksack on my back, vegetarian walking boots with the other terriers-It looks to be a place of mystery where one may encounter a handsome gentleman x

And I'm kind of jealous cause you talk about hangovers in a schoolday.

  5. At least you can see a bit of the view. I'm not far away, in Saddleworth, I can't even see to the bottom of the garden. Hate this mizzle.

  6. A very scenic walk! It almost looks like someone painted a smiley face on that watchtower... but surely not!
Ladybower is such a fanciful name! Are there ladies in bowers there?

Lovely photos and what uplifting scenes to gaze upon! Oh, the history of those amazing buildings and I wonder how many feet have trod on those stairs.
You've once again made an excellent plan for your time in Sheffield. Enjoy!

    Hugs!
