Lovely to remember such nights.
Amen pat x
Oh such happy memories. Also remember meeting you in London to see Meatloaf in concert and you & Pam missing the train home, so coming to stay with me! He was an absolute LEGEND. As are you my dear! Nia x
How lovely , a memory better than anything x
I vacuumed to ‘Bat out of Hell’. Clearly the volume was very very loud.
We all did …..
my mum loved Meatloaf, we played her favourite song, Bat out Of Hell at her funeral, it certainly made everyone smile, he was a true legend xx
My dad loved The Goons so we played the Ying Tong song at his funeral.
so stupid, anti-vaxxer, what a waste.
Agreed...a waste indeed, with so much music in him.
What a great memory of good times.RIP Meatloaf. I loved most of the music, too.Hugs!
In the back of a friend's car with my boyfriend (now husband) on our way to a weekend away. It was to be our first night together and our friend plays a song by Meatloaf '...we're gonna go all the way tonight...'. I was so embarrassed.
Covid anti-vax strikes again. In memorandum and for old times sake, organize a skating party. Sounds like fun to me.
Six adults plus others in an Austin 1300?
I didn’t say all at once Read my wordsOn Tuesday nights
I've read your words again - yes it still reads the same. All those people travelling home on Tuesday nights in an Austin 1300.As an ex English teacher I stand my ground!
I was saddened to hear the news-Even though I was more a disco girl myself I couldn't resist a bit of Meatloaf-who could-He will stay with us though won't he x
Memories with music seem all the clearer, somehow. His music is etched on so many hearts. RIP.
His music was the soundtrack to a lot of young lives in the 70s and 80s!
Good times no one quite like him, he is good company while out driving RIP.
RIP. Good memories
There's a report he died of covid because he refused to take any covid precautions and "refused to be controlled". If it's true, I wonder if he considered all the people who would feel a huge sense of loss.
Anti-vaxxers consider no-one but themselves unfortunately. What a waste of a life that could so easily have gone on for many more years, and sad that he'll be remembered for taking a totally unnecessary risk.
Nothing to do with the man, butI just don't get why his music was so popular, sorry.
I imagine all of us of a certain age can remember how Meat Loaf touched our teen-aged lives! For me it was seeing him (over and over) in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and my college roommate had his "Bat Out of Hell" album, as I recall.
I love all comments Except abusive ones from arseholes
