The series is getting better and better for me
Tonight the ‘girls’ new friends come into play …Black Charlotte ( a fantastically wisecracking Nicole Ari Parker ) is a breath of fresh air, Miranda has a sexuality and drink issue, and Carrie moves back into her apartment …this all happens when white Charlotte cancels Harry’s colonoscopy in a coffee shop,
Stanford wants a divorce ( that killed me), and Asian Seema ( Samantha stand in) is selling Carrie and Big’s apartment
So much going on….too much politically correct to be sure , but really I loved it
The episode had a great deal to say about real friendship
But I WAS slightly drunk lol

DeleteCall me sceptical (which I am) but it's a funny old world when women, many years later, come "out of the woodwork" pointing a finger. In many cases it's just bullshit. Anyway, why would someone like Chris Noth need to assault anyone? They must be queuing round the corner to get laid by him. No, I won't be joining the queue as whilst he is attractive (oh my God, that languid voice of his) he is not my type (if there is such a thing).

I've watched three episodes now. I'm just not sure...
ReplyDeleteIt's almost a little too PC for me and that's saying a lot. I can almost hear the writers saying, "Well, we need a possible trans story line and we need a non-binary story line and we need a recovery story line and we need to get Carrie back to her apartment because she's just too bougie in that apartment she shared with Big and we need more women of color and, and, and..." Not saying that all of these are not valid concerns and I do appreciate the embracing of non-white, cis-gendered people but it seems a little forced. I could be wrong.
Being in the company of certain people I feel happier-they have a positive aura x

ReplyDeleteI'd rather sit through a Richard Wagner opera, hoping it'll end in about two hours time. Never got into Sex and the City the first time round. Too contrived. Ms Moon, earlier, mentions "politically correct" story lines now being employed. Count me out. Anyway I find it vaguely distasteful women portraying themselves as having nothing better to do than flaunting their Manilos and hunting down men. Not surprised that Kim Cattrall opted out this time round.

ReplyDeleteI watched And Just Like That before I went to work yesterday. I enjoyed it except for the way they rid themselves of Stanford. The dear man died. He deserved a better send off.
