Pottery

 Back to pottery tonight.
I’m the only one not making Christmas decorations
I’m making a selection of spoons
The camp instructor clapped his hands joyfully when I told him
“ I love  spooning ! “ he chirped

Suitably I made soup for supper on this cold night
Smoked bacon and butter bean soup with a hint of chilli
Bloody lovely .
The dogs and Albert are all on the couch with me watching The Repair Shop

  1. I like the idea of making spoons but I am surprised you aren't making a Christmas decoration knowing your love for them.

  2. "I love spooning" sounds like an invitation to me...

And for another new source of income: "Quirky Pottery from Trelawnyd - A Dali-esque take on household items as perfect symmetry is boring. Paypal and credit cards accepted but cash at the door preferred." Mind you, if you started to raffle such objects on your blog you would probably end up minted, knowing what I think I know about the characters who visit here.

Your soup sounds delicious and hope you used one of your new pottery spoons when it was time to eat!
Love the pottery spoons on the work table. Did you make them?
Methinks your quizzical little pottery creatures would sell like hot cakes and I suppose they're easier to make than spoons. Yes?

    Hugs!

  13. Christmas stars are good to make but you have to make a hole to hang them up with, and then make sure you don't end up filling it with glaze because there's no chance of drilling it out once it's fired.

  17. It's probably a bit late to suggest this, but two of my 'most loved' spoons have shapes that match the curve on my soup pot, and therefore are fantastic for dishing up with.

  18. I love The Repair Shop; it's wonderful seeing real craftsmen at work. I do think they're a bit heavy on the 'emotion', but it makes for good viewing.

    1. It’s simple
2 tins of butter beans in water,
One chopped onion , softened with garlic under a gentle heat until slightly golden
Half a smoked bacon joint cut up into chunks
      Seasoning
Paprika or and a few chilli flakes
      One potato to thicken
