Condiments are the substance that's added to food.

Cruet is the container that you put the condiment in.

    1. Chuck any spilt salt over your shoulder-can't remember which one though-but only carefully into your sink for safety-must not get it near the furry ones x

  10. They made me smile too. And that is extra good today - yesterday our son's gorgeous Goldie had to be PTS after an illness that lasted barely a week. You know the heartbreak of loosing a beloved animal too. Sleep well.

  13. Why not just call them salt & pepper shakers since that's what they are! And ... someone knows you like birds, so these fit right in with your menagerie! They are pretty cute!

I was going to put a gift card in but I thought it was amusing to send them anonymously.
But I'll give you a clue - Socks!

(the above anonymous comment describing the birds isn't mine)

  23. I imagine those condiment pots having conversations...
PEPPER I believe that I am more handsome than you.
SALT I beg to differ my friend.
PEPPER My beak is longer than yours.
SALT You are mistaken and if I had a tape measure I could prove it.
PEPPER What's that coming down the stairs?
SALT It could be a baby elephant.
PEPPER Do baby elephants sing "Men of Harlech" at the top of their voices?
