So said Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park
This delicate Welsh Poppy , I found growing valiantly by the kitchen wall this morning

Life clings on and flourishes in the most unexpected of places!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely holiday.
This may be my last comment for a while...I think my computer needs to go in for repair, and I have no backup...:(
Come back soon x
DeleteWe've got them everywhere here, too. Welsh invasion?
ReplyDeleteWe get everywhere x
DeleteLovely! I love how flowers seek the light and find it even between a stone wall and steps!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your delightful plans. :)

DeleteI look forward to hearing about the pilgrims in tomorrow's post
ReplyDeleteI will be here dear pat x
DeleteI love it when seedlings grow in unlikely places. I wish my 1 Welsh poppy would seed everywhere, but no joy. Each year I live in hope! I don't know how you keep going after a night shift, I'd be dead on my feet. Enjoy the theatre. Going with anyone special? xx
ReplyDeleteLike my aqueligia they do their own things
DeleteOne of my favourite flowers, they grew well in our garden in Galloway. When I went back to see the house some 36 years later, they were still going strong and still to this day. I've bought seed for my new garden here, hoping they'll be happy. Who couldn't love a poppy? Looking forward to more on the pilgrims :)
ReplyDeleteTomorrow s
DeleteThat's enough chutzpahs for one week.
ReplyDeleteYou can’t have too much Yiddish
DeleteIt's a quote from my favorite movie.
ReplyDeleteLol, mine too
DeleteI prefer Stella stevens vest line from the Poseidon adventure
“ panties what else do I need?”
I'm always impressed by plants and the amazing places they manage to grow. Nature will find its way!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had your green fingers x
DeleteLife indeed finds away. Have a grande holiday.
ReplyDeleteThank you xx
DeleteI'll never forget a lone daffodil growing on some waste ground where cars parked in Northampton.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad I’m not the only one
DeleteIt is always brings a smile when one finds a surprise flower in the garden! :)
ReplyDeleteI was rather moved by it
DeleteI love that valiant poppy! Enjoy the community efforts and, especially, the theatre.
ReplyDeleteThe theatre was lovely even though there was 20 in the audience
Delete"Grow where you're planted"
ReplyDeleteDid you mean
Delete“The expression "bloom where you're planted" means a person should take advantage of the opportunities they have in their life and be grateful for the present situation.”
The Welsh Poppy may have appeared from the Universe because it thanks you for caring and helping Pilgrims to continue with the old ways x
ReplyDeleteYou old romantic
DeleteI love a Welsh poppy with chutzpah. Must be Welsh for balls. (I know, I know.)
ReplyDeleteThey have balls for such a delicate flower
DeleteSome people say poppies are weeds but I love them. There's loads of them in our front and back gardens.
ReplyDeleteI adore welsh poppies
DeleteThey are so cheerful
What a lovely Welsh Poppy.
ReplyDeleteWith all the rain here the Arizona Poppy are out in force.
I had to google your poppies
DeleteThey look more robust
I don't often comment, but I hope you sorted out the pilgrims! ( I know you were providing refreshments, but it just sounded like, "B***** pilgrims, they come walking about, every year. Why cant they stay at home!" :-))
ReplyDeleteAround a dozen villagers turned up to welcome the, pilgrims and we had cake to spare
Delete"Cake to spare sounds good", so you were well sorted and you spread some kindness to people who were acting out of good intent. Goodness abounds!
DeleteYour yellow Welsh poppy is quite beautiful. It's amazing how plants can appear in the most unexpected places. Somehow, the odds are exceeded and nature takes the reins. I expect if you or I planted a poppy in that spot it would not survive.
ReplyDeleteExactly …..
DeleteOne of my favorite quotes and what could be better coming from Jeff Goldblum, who I adore. Again and again, I see life struggle to remain. It finds a way.
ReplyDeleteI love how flowers grow in the most unlikely places looks beautiful against the textured wall.
ReplyDeleteJust love how the brightness and optimism seems to find a way to pop through. Yellow is such a joyous color.
