All Green

 It’s Tuesday isn’t it?
I wasn’t sure. Weigh in day
I’ve lost 8 lbs
Bloody hell
I’m off to Mostyn Gallery today.
Theatre with Gorgeous Dave tomorrow night
A new book to start to read tonight after gardening.
The road remains closed , but hey , I rather like the peace with no rat run traffic
It wasn’t a big deal in the first place.
The sun is shining, and the view from my bedroom window is all green

  1. Congratulations on the weight loss, as I get older I find scales to be very dangerous places.

  2. I can tell by my jeans waistband without scales that the flab has arrived but I refuse to get a bigger size though-and I'm sorry to have unburdened myself of my own problems last night which I believe added negatively to a passing remark you made-anyway you have stunning views John which flows from your land with a meander through xx

If it takes just a little while
Open your eyes and look at the day
You'll see things in a different way

  5. Yes, it is Tuesday (although I had to check!) I think I found that 8lbs you lost, I'm guessing you don't want it back? Hope the gallery, theatre, book and green help lift the depression. Enjoy it all, you've earned it. xx

  6. I'm with you John! I've also managed to drop the 8 lbs gain COVID was responsible for after learning to bake bread . . . . . and then eating far too much of it. . . . . during those first lockdown months in 2020!
Beautiful view - would make a lovely painting to add to your art wall.
    Hugs, Mary

  7. What a beautiful view, enough to make the heart sing. Very well done on the weight loss. I think it arrived by airmail here, I seem to have found many people's lost weight and no-one seems to want it back. Love Ro xxx

Apropos of your previous post (about being quick to anger, etc.): I think we're all suffering from a degree of PTSD from the pandemic. Just as we had to adjust to lockdowns, etc., it will take a while to adjust to the lifting of restrictions. These are and have been strange times, and we need to forgive ourselves for any bumps in the road we experience as we readjust. Carol in Philadelphia

  13. Beautiful view from the window, and wow, well done on the 8lbs loss. Find something in the cottage that weighs 8lbs and you'll see just how good not carrying that around with you anymore is. 😀

  16. Put 8lbs of something in a bag and you'll feel how much less you are carrying all the time! Brilliant...keep it up! Probably not at that rate, but a fantastic kick start.

  19. Oh John that view is wonderful Plus I think it smells green. When my small path of grass gets cut or how it smells after a rain with Mesquite, PaloVerde Sagebrush Sage, the wet dirt it is lovely.

  25. I saw my doctor yesterday. The nurse walks me straight past the scale. She says "You still weigh 115, don't you?" and on we go. My b/p never seems to change, but she always takes that, then says "This never changes!"

My wardrobe has gained magical powers during lockdowns it has magically shunk my clothes. Do you think if I sat in it for a while it could shrink my size.
