Cwtch

I “do” old friends.
I always have done.
Today I met Cheryl, a mate of 35 years long-standing
We Met in a frigid outdoor restaurant during a rainstorm
And afterwards we hugged and hugged and hugged as we are now allowed to do in Wales

I learned the word cwtch from the harrypotterfanfic Rise of the Drackens (131 chapters and not finished yet) about Harry finding out he's a dracken at 16, mating with 4 male lovers and family life. One of his lovers is Welsh :)

Hope you were as warmly dressed as Cheryl is. It's nice to "meet" Cheryl, too.

Long distance hugs to you both!

  16. A lot of Welshmen have hugged sheep throughout the pandemic. In fact it has been a bit more than hugging.

  17. Cheryl looks very happy wrapped in that blanket. Cozy and warm having a nice meal, great hugs and a good catch-up with you. I hope you had a blanket as well. Nothing is better than a long standing friend with history to share.
