Cheryl has a lovely warm face John-she reminds me of my friend of 20 years Paddy who passed last year-I think of her most days and I would love to meet her again in a rainstorm under rainbow xx
I learned the word cwtch from the harrypotterfanfic Rise of the Drackens (131 chapters and not finished yet) about Harry finding out he's a dracken at 16, mating with 4 male lovers and family life. One of his lovers is Welsh :)
How happy... but cold... Cheryl looks! The green of that lovely woven blanket sets off Cheryl’s gorgeous hair to perfection! We’re you wearing your best Walking Dead Teeshirt?
Cheryl looks very happy wrapped in that blanket. Cozy and warm having a nice meal, great hugs and a good catch-up with you. I hope you had a blanket as well. Nothing is better than a long standing friend with history to share.
Hugging Cheryl must have made your day .... even if it was a bit chilly ! You are really making up for lost time this week .... enjoy every hugging moment ! XXXX
Cheryl was perfectly clad for today's arctic May weather!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh the restaurant rang me to suggest I bring blankets

I have old friends too John - many I haven't seen for years as I have moved around - but telephones are handy.
ReplyDeleteEffort is always needed x
Deletegood on both of you!
ReplyDeleteYou could have taken along a bulldog to keep your roes warm
ReplyDeleteA lot of Welshmen have hugged sheep throughout the pandemic. In fact it has been a bit more than hugging.
ReplyDeleteSame in Yorkshire :-)

ReplyDeleteYou can't beet a good cwtch, sadly human touch has been missing for so many people for far too long.
ReplyDeleteWell done. I don't think we'll take hugs for granted ever again.
ReplyDeleteI hate hugs, apart from with my wife. Weird me again.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone ANdrew.
DeleteThinking back to earlier post comments, we do seem to share quite a lot of good sense that others find weird, Rachel.
DeleteThat's a great picture, although she looks cold!
