Every Day , say something

I’ve blogged ( more or less) every day since 2006
It’s a labour of love and strange as it may seem, it’s never been a chore, even on days like today when I’ve finally managed to sit down after a work shift minutes after 9 pm, I never not want to write at least something.
Blogging is a friend I need to say hello to every day
The Great British Sewing Bee is on the tv, the dogs have been fed and walked and I’m wondering what to chat about.
I want to be urbane and witty and wisecracking tonight, but it just won’t bounce forth and that’s fine ,
And so I’ve slipped on my fat bastard jogger bottoms , lit the fire and am now watching the 12 talented and rather sweet sewing nerds do their thing, as my feet throb gently like two  hairy and slightly podgy Belisha beacons.
Hey ho.........hey ho

You always find something interesting to say!
Hope you have a cushy footstool to put your feet on or that the couch is long enough so you can put your feet on a pillow-topped arm rest (so your feet are higher than your heart).
Hope I can find TGBSB on some channel here in the US.
    Rest well!

    Hugs!

  6. Tired feet and/or body ache calls for Epsom salts and a hot tub although doggy licks sound pretty good too. BTW - you always have something interesting to say. Thank you for blogging as I do look forward to your daily update.

  8. Blogging is fun.
It cleans the cobwebs in my head.
And watching the telly and feeling rested is heaven.

  9. Your blog is the first thing I read every morning when I open my eyes. I'm usually running late anyway so generally don't comment first thing; but I always read. Your comments set me up for the day one way or another. I'm either smiling, laughing, thinking or otherwise wishing I had a bulldog, cottage and what not....or you inspire me to give something a go like pottery etc. Thanks you make my life more fun.

[I suppose you will say that wasn't the point of this post, sorry....the warm evening scene/ vignette was charming in itself.] [thank god there was no foot licking .]

  12. Your blog is the first one I look at every day. I would really miss if you stopped

  13. I just like the little glimpses of the lives of others. Also, in real life, I am a hopelessly awkward self conscious person. When I write, I'm not.

  14. I too find it a labor of love. I enjoy reading yours. A great escape. If my schedule keeps up, I may have to hang my blog up. Im getting outside interests and interruptions.

  19. I must admit that I have no interest in sewing whatsoever, but I have seen the TV show, and found it fascinating. I believe there's now another similar show about jewellery making. That sounds fun too.

  20. We don't get The Great British Sewing Bee here but I keep hoping they will start showing it. We do get the Bake Off show and I always enjoy it. I hope you get some good rest tonight!

  23. Oh, I could never take part in a sewing bee. Someone will have sewn a evening gown while I'm still trying to thread the needle.

  24. I never thought I would watch the Sewing Bee, but being stuck in limbo waiting to move I'm finding myself watching everything.
I can't imagine stopping blogging now and I've only done 8 years so well done you.

  26. I've read your blog virtually every day since the day you commented on mine ... and told me I was bad for not wearing a full face of make-up when cleaning out the chickens every morning ;-)

That's a lot of writing and a lot of reading, but it's always fun isn't it.

  27. I marvel at your blogging every day since 2006 when I, too, first started blogging. Your style and content is somewhat than my own. I quite writing for a year intending to make it permanent but then returned. I never want for topics, I just don't always like the obligation as having too many obligations in much of life made it undesirable at times. Now I write only once a week, most recently mentioning 3 topics of the many flitting through my mind.

  30. Love the sewing bee!! It was obvious that beautiful yellow broderie anglaise dress was going to win - I think the french guy is the one to watch followed by the 21 year old girl! x

  31. Thanks for the comment about my book. I am glad you liked it. Feel free to post that as a review. I wish I never stopped blogging during those last 5 years with Billie. They were not as exciting as the first years but I think life should be recorded.

  40. "helping an elderly gentleman to the shops" is an interesting code I was unaware of, unless of course it just means what it says. Anyway I've got my wife for that (whatever it means). It is a fine idea to use these silly spams as a source of amusement.
