Let’s move on

Whatever your politics, the President of the United States must be articulate and calm and possess a sense of humour. Biden and Kamala Harris seem to have have those traits.

Good luck America

A proper President of the US and a proper Vice President is so welcome but nearly half the country's voters did not vote Democrat. The US of A is not out of the woods yet.

  3. Frightening times, but so glad that idiot will be out of the White House in 6 hours (and 10 minutes). Here's hoping!

  4. Thank you! We are going to need luck and common sense I am so happy for the change we will have today.

  6. It was heartening to hear Joe Biden talk about healing America rather than you-know-who ranting "Build a wall!" I hope the healing begins today. xx

  7. Thank you John. It has been a long, horrible four years.

  8. Well so far there has been censorship and folks fired and troops removed because of their political affiliation and we have been told there would be re-education camps . Not very reassuring but I am hoping.

  9. They have already acted with class and compassion. We have hope.

  10. Oh, the relentless fuckery of the Cheeto administration will abate for a change. There's still misinformation (just look at what dear Diana posted) and the MAGAts are still confident something will happen that will allow Agolf Twitler to 'come back' and keep their racism and xenophobia up front in American politics.
I, for one, am relieved. An adult at the wheel? Yes, please.

    XOXO

  13. I am watching a split screen of one leaving in a ridiculous way and the other behaving as a normal human. I can't describe how awful the ls 4 years have been.

    1. They have to CONVICT and I hope to hell McConnell and the Senate do their job and convict his ass this time!!! That will make sure he can't ever run for anything political again! I would prefer he spends the rest of his miserable life in prison!!!

  16. People have been relieved of their duties in he National Guard for their participation in or support of militia terrorists. People who stormed the Capitol have lost jobs because of their violent acts. Yet today, a mere four hours and fifteen minutes from now, our President will surely ask for peace and unity. We’ll see how those who have vowed to desecrate our country reacts.

Good luck to Biden and Harris.

  21. I have my fingers firmly crossed that the good folk of America can at last be heard and live their lives in safety ... and the Trump-witts go back into the woodwork to be exterminated. They have rotted the country over the last few years fawning over that horrible misogynistic, racist excuse of a man.

  22. Hope and decency have returned to the USA.

  23. Such a sign of relief when his plane took or. Hopefully never to return to Washington DC in any official position. Back to what America once was prior to these past 4 years. It will be a long time to make consistent changes and it is now a more dangerous world because of him. Hopefully we will all have the resolve to move on.

Oh, happy day! What a relief to see the entire crime family leave on Air Force 1 for the very last time. A future without that man's face and voice on the TV every day is going to be so wonderful. It's a party at my house today. An isolated pandemic party of two but we are celebrating!

Amen, and thank you! We SO agree and we're partying, too. Our American flag is also flying. We do wonder when our neighbor will take down his TR**P flag.

  40. A toast to new beginnings at least there are adults in the white house, President Biden has experience and compassion and is surrounding himself with professional people. Trump pardoned I believe over 100 friends today many of who swindled people of their money much like Trump himself the man has no shame.
