Retail & Art Therapy

My friend Ruth needed some “ Yes You have to buy it, buy it now “ kind of therapy today,
So we met up at The Mostyn Gallery and I suggested several rather expensive paintings which she instantly fell in love with!
I had fishfinger sandwiches at the oriel cafe while Ruth had falafels,
Our final pre lockdown bit of culture

and we had a mooch around the Athena Papadopoulos instillation , before more shopping where
I bought my fair share of frippery
My gay, bearded plant pot

A pottery whale

A doggy stand for hot saucepans with doggy spatulas!

  1. I love your gay, bearded plant pot! That is awesome! I would have thought your "doggy" stand was actually a fox, though...? I could be wrong.

The plant pot is spot on! I'll have to take a photo of a plant pot we've had for 40 years or so and still love because it looks a bit like DH.
The whale is a delight, but as has been said, you could have made that. :)
Won't those doggie kitchen accessories bring a smile as you use them?!
    Cheers for retail therapy prn!

  26. I indulged in some "yes you have to buy it" therapy today on E-Bay. My favorite kind of shopping, no wash of a face, iron of a shirt and best of all no wearing of a bra required!

  27. You had a sausage sandwich a few days ago, didn't you? neither variety of sandwich would ever make an appearance in a cafe here and I am so very bored with the usual cafe menus. What other delights do you have?

  43. Love the plant pot ! I think your dog is a fox. Fish finger sarnies remind me of the 70s but with tomato ketchup in. A friend and I went to a local art gallery on Saturday then had lunch sat outside at a cafe where we ordered Falafels. We waited for an hour to get them having been ignored for ages but got chatting to two lovely women we had instant rapport with so some good came out of our wait in the cold !

  45. I'm in love with the foxie plate and the whale.
As one who was once widowed, I can totally relate to that gentleman's feelings. I remember sitting on the couch with my good (long since widowed) friend the day my husband passed and asking her "Tell me how being widowed feels Jeannie?"

  46. I love what you bought and what you saw. I was thinking of some retail therapy this afternoon, but it's already 4:30 and a siesta is sounding better. Besides, I wouldn't find places like you found where I'd be going. Maybe I need an entire day in the city (Málaga).
