28

Sheffield  circa 1990 my sister is holding my cat Joan

I was 28 in this photo, it was sent to me this evening
Apparantly 28 is the age , almost everyone feels that they are no matter the actual truth
28 is an optimum year.....supposedly
I met my Samaritan friends this afternoon
We all sat on the beach with flasks of coffee and ice cream cones and we talked
Chic Eleanor was minus her signature pashmina which seemed odd.
We laughed and joked and talked about dating, and sex and life and work.
And we talked about being single
I was single for much of my twenties into my early thirties
Ten years alone all told apart from a lovely few years with jane
The photograph underlines many things but it certainly proved that
Singleton days forged  me friends for life

Joan died in Trelawnyd some 20 years later

    1. I was searching for loan to sort out my bills& debts, then i saw comments about Blank ATM Credit Card that can be hacked to withdraw money from any ATM machines around you . I doubted thus but decided to give it a try by contacting { cyberhackingcompany@gmail.com} they responded with their guidelines on how the card works. I was assured that the card can withdraw $5,000 instant per day & was credited with$50,000,000.00 so i requested for one & paid the delivery fee to obtain the card, after 24 hours later, i was shock to see the UPS agent in my resident with a parcel{card} i signed and went back inside and confirmed the card work's after the agent left. This is no doubts because i have the card & has made used of the card. This hackers are USA based hackers set out to help people with financial freedom!! 3. My optimum age was 32. I had finally settled into a career, met my wife, and felt like a real adult with some disposable income. It took me that long to lose the poor-student feeling of not being able to afford a simple dinner out, but I still had the energy to go out on the weekends!

What a great "blast from the past"!

Are any of the friends in the photo from 30 years ago also in more recent photos in the right side of your blog? Perhaps Nu, Mike, and Jane or am I imagining the resemblances?

    Hugs!

  10. I think I'd say older than 28. Maybe 35? But still a heck of a lot younger than I actually am!

  11. I am not sure I can remember being 28. I shall have to look back through some old photo albums to jog my memory.

  18. 'Pashmina: Tales of love, loss and longing'. A book title - you could probably throw in 'lust' too. Being a singleton means that you can do as you're so inclined (within reason) - although it can be lonely not having someone to share experiences with; hanging onto a stale relationship can be mentally taxing in other ways. But - there's nothing like the frisson of being with someone new and the expectations of a new relationship (as I dimly recall). Or you can get a dog (or cat)...

  19. My best year/s was 27/28. I had two little kids who were toilet trained and could wait on my attention for two seconds. Toilet training is the secret to a happy life. And, I had gone back to school. When I was almost 28, I discovered I had fabulous legs. Why did it take me so long?

  20. Joan lived a long life! I think my mid-30s were really cookin'. As I tip-toe up to my fiftieth birthday, I feel apathy setting in a bit.

  21. Well, at 28 I had a one year old and was flat out busy all-the-time. I think this year is the best. I’m 67, I’ve survived a couple of health issues that could/should have killed me, come through them, I’ve a wonderful husband, a son and lovely daughter-in-law living a mile away, two gorgeous grandchildren I get to look after for a day every week (“What adventure will we go on this week?”) I have the energy to do all that thanks to marvellous publicly funded health care. I’ve super friends and being 67 is pretty darned good. Soon, 68 will be another Best Year Ever.

I love Joan, how wonderful that you had her for so long, my record cat was Bluey who died at 19.

  24. Joan must have been a wonderful cat to be held amid that joyful chaos. Interesting what you say about 28. My 28th year was one of the most devastating in my life ... except my 28th birthday was the first one I celebrated with San Geraldo. So, there is that.
