Stand off

The war between neurotic bulldog and middle aged disabled cat has continued throughout the day
It started over the possession of a dead rabbit early this morning but over several skirmishes and one full blown claws and teeth battle on the staircase
There is now a full blow Mexican Stand off in progress in the kitchen

These animals will be the death of me

  1. The death of you, but the entertainment of your fans. Dorothy does look subdued.

  6. Love both the photos. Albert is a feisty character. Those yellow tulips are the same as I have at the moment. They were a gift from our neighbour as a thank for passing on some of our excess veg plants. There was no need for a thank you but it was touching just the same.

Where is the deceased bunny now?
Eaten?, buried, possibly in your bed for a midnight feast?! or did you manage to wrest it away from them?
Always hard to get the spoils away from the victors l find!

  9. Reminds me of my brother and sister when we were kids.
I used to lock myself in the bathroom when it all kicked off and wait for it all to calm down.

  11. Bets on that Albert will win. Poor Dorothy. I had six cats at one time currently down to four. When we introduced Missy, Jack Russell, I was given a recomendation to squirt each cat and dog with a little baby talc on the rear. It makes them all smell the same and calms the pheromones down. We did this whilst introducing them and then monitored the interaction. Occasionally they ran true to form and either the Jack Russell temperament escaped or the Feline Hissy fitty tantrums, but generally they all get on well and even nose greet each other now. It does work with a bit of time and patience. The introduction sessions also reinforced what behaviour was acceptable and what was not to all of them. Missy is 12 in October Molly is seven and the gang of three (the kittens are now six). However if Tinky knocks another jar of dried goods off the top of the dresser shelf she could be wearing it. She likes to do a Marlene Dietricht act ad goes and sleeps where she shouldn't. She knows, because as soon as she sees me she moves rapidly and then goes and sulks on top of the kitchen door! They will be the death of me too. Love em to bits though its all that unconditional love. Hope you are keeping well. Take care x Pattypan x

You're experienced enough with both of them to predict if they will continue living with that tension. Do you think they will?
Hopefully they are testing each other's boundaries, and after both realize neither will accept being overly dominated by the other, they will steer clear of each other's triggers. - Mary

Great photos that save 2,000 words! Albert's posture in the second picture says it all.

Do you have room in the cottage to put one of those "cat trees" that would give Albert a much higher platform from which he could lord it over Dorothy?

Oh, No! For your whole holiday you'll be the referee.

    Hugs!

  16. It must be a bit tense John.I have previously had terriers who squabbled over a chew and I got my hand in the way trying to part them and had a finger bit quite badly and needed stitches. One would sit high up and stare at the other intently x

  30. I just experience the wonders of Dr Zico herbs. Nature will continue to bless you Dr Zico more abundantly for the good work you are doing in peoples life by curing them from different type of diseases. I will keep on testifying about your good work. I was living with diabetes type 1, 6 months ago and my doctor told me that there is no cure. I did not believe him and i kept my faith up hoping that one day i will be cured from this horrible disease. One day i saw a post on diabetes forum about a herbal doctor called Dr Zico on how he cured people from diseases with his root and herbs and i quickly contacted Dr Zico on his email and explained my problem to him and he told me not to worry that he is going to cure me and truly he prepared the herbal medicine and sent it to me through UPS and gave me instructions on how to take it. After three weeks of taken the herbal medicine , i went to my doctor for checkup and my diabetes result show Negative and my doctor told me that there is no trace of diabetes in my body and the diabetes is completely gone. If You are out there with any form of sickness or problem, you can also be cured from any type of diseases by contacting Dr Zico on his Email: zicoherbalhome@gmail.com
