Sparrow

There is a crack above the front door
Hidden away in the honeysuckle
An electricity cable runs into the cottage
And a sparrow shuffles away on her eggs far inside.
It's driven Albert and Mary bananas today.
As the faint scrape of wings on stone echo around the living room like whispers.
The animals'  anticipation is electric and has woken me a few times during the day.with its screaming stress

I've just got up,
Eaten a punnet of tiny tomatos
Then I've returned to bed with a pillow over my head

    1. I was searching for loan to sort out my bills& debts, then i saw comments about Blank ATM Credit Card that can be hacked to withdraw money from any ATM machines around you . I doubted thus but decided to give it a try by contacting { cyberhackingcompany@gmail.com} they responded with their guidelines on how the card works. I was assured that the card can withdraw $5,000 instant per day & was credited with$50,000,000.00 so i requested for one & paid the delivery fee to obtain the card, after 24 hours later, i was shock to see the UPS agent in my resident with a parcel{card} i signed and went back inside and confirmed the card work's after the agent left. This is no doubts because i have the card & has made used of the card. This hackers are USA based hackers set out to help people with financial freedom!! 2. Awww the sounds of spring. Just like the pair of Canada geese that had goslings in front of my house and announce to the world at 4:30 every morning that they are going out into the fields. HONK! HONK! HOOOONK!

  3. I don't think there's nothing better than that 'going back to bed'.
I wish I could see more birds. Both you and Maddie seem to have the monopoly on those!

    XOXO

  9. I have a massive shrub in the corner of my yard and it serves as a condominium for a flock of small birds. My big, elderly cat ignores the birds, thankfully. The pillow over the head is my solution as well...

  10. This lockdown has turned you very poetic. In one way I sort of miss your confessions about farting in public, or egg down the front of your hoodie, and in another I don't.

How sweet to have a nest of babies just outside the door. Mixed blessing though it may be given the interest Albert and Mary have in those soft sounds.

If the pillow interferes with your breathing, you might get some ear plugs.

I love returning to bed for another snooze!

How soon does that 2 week vacation start?

    Hugs!

  17. We have a Great Tit in the front wall of the house. Occasionally it makes quite a lot of noise and Billy can't quite understand where it comes from. Me, I'm used to it, they come back every year.

  19. We have third generation hedge sparrows by the hundreds. Each year their parents teach them where the chicken feed hoppers are and they flit from feeder to hedge. Ginger and Mavis sit watching the hedge for hours ... but at least they and the birds are relatively quiet 😄

  20. I have a small nest above my front door. I can hear them quite a bit (and definitely end up sweeping the bird poop up regularly) but they certainly beat 9 bleedin' donkeys in the field at the back of my house (well mostly, the donkeys can be cute too)!
