ReplyDeleteTrue. Love the socks.
ReplyDeleteAnd too think, I thought the polka dot socks were yours!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe ones with a lace trim?
DeleteFriends do indeed lighten the heart. One of the reasons why this Covid pandemic has been hard. Human contact is essential.
ReplyDeleteI did break rules and hugged ruth for her gift , but I have been moving patients with her just an inch away x
DeleteBen has style that matches Mary's taste.
ReplyDeleteI will have to think about the meaning of that lol
DeleteIs it relaxed country style at home with the outdoors?x
DeleteNice picture of Mary with Ben. I bet Mary would make a great therapy dog. Nice socks, too.
ReplyDeleteShe would ....my first Welsh terrier Finlay used to visit spinal injury patients on bed rest
DeleteFriends, dogs and socks...you are a lucky man indeed.
ReplyDeleteI love Mary's attitude.
Is the second part of Bryn Euryn pronounced Urine? Urine's Hill? Good achievement in spite of the weather.
ReplyDeleteIt is
DeleteNope, more like "Eye - rin"
DeleteYes.. friends lighten the heart!
ReplyDeleteWould I be wrong to ponder that at least one bulldog would be disappointed to see your feet hidden inside socks?
ReplyDeleteShe was too tired to.lick em tonight
Deletei love the colours in your socks , im glad you're enjoying your time off xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day for friends and for the dogs! Hope your knee feels fine soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the socks and those colors appeal to me, too. Did you know deliberately mis-matched socks are sold on Amazon (and probably elsewhere)? I have a pair of those.
Hugs!
I always knit mismatched socks these days. I get really bored knitting the same pair and might some day get around to knitting a matching one .... but I very much doubt it.
Delete'Friends lighten hearts' that's what you said John and they sure do - just like your blog. Love the socks.
ReplyDeleteThey do
DeleteA good day, and I like those socks.

ReplyDeleteJo in Auckland
Nice socks! Love the colour palette!
ReplyDeleteOMG John, I LOVE that photo of the big sky! It touched my very soul.
ReplyDeleteAh, sweet Mary. She seems to make friends wherever she goes. Ben looks like a kind person.
ReplyDeleteGreat socks; what a thoughtful gift.
What I love about dogs - and her picture above exemplifies it - is that when we meet a 'new' one, so long as you've shown no hostility, they'll readily add you to their list of friends to be trusted. Entirely non-judgmental.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely outing with friends and nice that Mary got to enjoy this special time with you, getting a pair of hand knitted socks is so special, it's true what Raybeard said about dogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you have made new friends at your new work place, dog people too, couldn't be better ! X
ReplyDeleteCan you stop killing posts? They come up in my RSS feed, I read them and then you kill them and they are not there on your blog. It was a good blog post.
ReplyDeleteIt was a little indulgent
