  1. I recognise Degas' Little Dancer there in the skirt, a first at the time it was made. Part of the Sainsbury Collection of Art in Norwich.

    6. Rachel the little dancer is my choice and I have been lucky enough to see her quite by chance while on holiday in Barcelona where there was an exhibition of Degas influence on Picasso.... totally delightful.

  8. the wyeth is christina's world. she was a neighbor of his wife's and could not walk. instead of using a wheelchair, she crawled everywhere. he was so inspired by her that he painted her in the field she used to crawl through to pick blueberries.

  11. I love the Seurat - it has always been one of my favourite paintings - there is a companion one on the other side of the lake where the figures are all well dressed and out for a stroll.

  12. The more modern bearded man is fabulous, his eyes are so expressive. I'm also liking the troll (?) on the beach, he's wonderful.

  20. I was intrigued by the "Hide And Seek" so I clicked on it to enlarge and there is an image of a horse in each square. It's very clever. Also thought the scotch egg was fun.
