All afternoon I have been number crunching with the delightfully well groomed Leanne at the building society
I came home with my head spinning and a headache as powerful as the Queen Mary's hooter!
So. I lay down In the garden to gaze up at the sky.
Cloud Watching is good for the soul.
I heard someone walk past, it was probably Trendy Carol in one of her floaty spring outfits
But I didn't raise my head to check.
In five minutes I was snoring loudly like a slumbering hippo
Sometimes just being outside is healing. The dogs know it. Hope your head is better...
ReplyDeleteThe headache went eventually
DeleteBut there's no cloud to be seen! I hope the clear sky will take away the headache and the warmth of the dogs will warm your body. Rooting for you love from Amsterdam
ReplyDeleteYes strangely that's why I feel asleep I was waiting for the clouds
DeletePeople watching is interesting but cloud watching is soothing.
ReplyDeleteI do it every year
DeleteI hope you can get the numbers to add up for you.
ReplyDeleteNot quite xx
DeleteShite. Fingers crossed for much needed financial miracle!
DeleteLaying down in the garden, dogs by your side - pure bliss. Wishing and hoping for the very best

P. S. How's George holding up?
He's very breathless at times but the meds are clearing his water retention nicely
DeleteThank you for asking
DeleteI have missed a few post, I hope George is doing better !
DeleteSometimes, trying too hard to keep something the same is not the best in the long run. Don't over-commit.
ReplyDeleteIndeed . Understood x
DeleteI find being outside helps calm things down. I hope things settle for you son.
ReplyDeleteHow is the new doggy doing ?
No new dog........as yet
DeleteCook the books.
ReplyDeleteSend me your accountants number
DeleteI told you. I am no good with numbers.
DeleteTouch truly is the form of communication that we can share with our animals. I think your dogs were communicating their support of you. And of course, their love.
ReplyDeleteThey just like a warm fat old body to cosy up to x
DeleteWhich numbers did you crunch? I would crunch Number 8 myself because it's a fat little sod with a big head and it reminds me of Mr Blobby.
ReplyDeleteYou would x
DeleteThere's nothing quite like having the warmth of a loved pet lying against you for comfort. Animals are so intuitive. Hope all the financial stuff gets sorted in your favour.
ReplyDeleteAs I type this Winnie has her nose in my crotch
DeleteYou certainly know how to treat a headache properly: clear skies and warm furry bodies = serenity and blissful sleep. How lovely.
ReplyDeleteNice to get an unusual photo of one of your guardians before you drifted off.
Hugs!
It's Mary looking worried
Delete"In five minutes I was snoring loudly like a slumbering hippo." - what an image! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a body !
DeleteLove the photograph. 'Show of solidarity' - you have that here in blogland too old thing. x
ReplyDeleteIndeed old chum
DeleteTouching the earth and then falling into a snooze...
ReplyDeleteIt was so warm today out of the breeze
DeleteI haven't done that in years, maybe I should. Trouble is people would probably think I was dead at my age, lol
ReplyDeleteBriony
x
My neighbours are used to it
DeleteCloud watching in the Spring - so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteIt's best in high summer
DeleteBeautiful photo and a snooze in the sun no doubt a prescribed cure for stress.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things that I really liked about you when I came across your blog was your cloud watching ways!
ReplyDeleteI've done it for years thank the foxes, I used to lie in the field to protect the hens
DeleteGood thing you weren't here in Suffolk you'd have died of hypothermia sleeping outside today
ReplyDeleteIt's useful living in the wild wet warm west
DeleteIt is so cold I have a hat on indoors tonight.
DeleteYou do that in summer
DeleteI love cloud watching, the gud dug are not sure what is going on when I fall asleep but they always join in.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
Sounds like it's exactly what you needed..it's good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteSomebody in our house snores that way too. And it's not the husband :)
ReplyDeleteI wish the numbers work out for you in the end.
I hope I am never too jaded to cloud watch. And was glad to hear that your headache eventually disappeared.
ReplyDeleteYour own 'special bodyguards'! Gotta like that!
ReplyDeleteCrunching the numbers is enough to give anyone a headache! I would have thought Mary would be used to your unusual antics by now. Perhaps she is a worrier by nature. I love watching the clouds; I often can see things in the clouds, it's great fun.
ReplyDeleteJo in Auckland
She's nervous without William
DeleteI need a male dog to take charge
Now I'm quite sure Roger is the name of a male....
DeleteI hope the nap did you good.
ReplyDeleteGood for you
ReplyDeleteI love gazing up at the sky. When I taught English years ago I used to bring my students outside and we'd lay on the grass in the field by the school and watch the clouds float by. Then we'd write poetry. I got some of my best stuff from them when we did that.
ReplyDeleteMagical mick , just magical
DeleteSnoring helps passersby know you are still alive.
ReplyDeleteLike iron filings to a magnet! It would have made an interesting picture for a neighbour popping their head over the wall - a multi-headed accretion of limbs and fur on the grass! Did the New Boy join in?
ReplyDeleteLying down with the dogs was probably wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you crunched yourself into some magic moments there.
ReplyDeleteI hope things get sorted for you soon. x
ReplyDelete'Warm fat old body'? ....rubbish....and I could do with a hug so will be heading your way soon if you fancy obliging..xx
ReplyDeleteHow sweet... the garden and the dogs, not the slumbering hippo... well, him, too.
ReplyDeleteDog love truly is the best kind of love.
ReplyDeleteThey probably wanted to make sure you were OK! Dogs get nervous when we lie down anywhere unusual!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a perfect day to me. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Sounds totally blissful, the cloud watching that is ... numbers make my head hurt too.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like something that we should do soon. The weather is warmer and we should start cloud watching. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful weekend.
