I'm sat in the kitchen (in my corner) drinking a bucket of coffee
There is a vicious storm blowing outside and I am just about to drive the fifty or so miles to Bangor for a Sams conference.
I would have cried off given the weather but I am taking a car load with me in Bluebell
the dogs have all slunk away on the couch. they know I am going
so here are a few more of your favourite corners
a reading chair perhaps?
you can feel the warmth
no distractions
as winnie gets over a crash mat like this may be the answer
I want me a porch
perfect
space age
another clue with the penguin
an autumn photo!
a scotch in hand for this one
is that a chicken?
am loving the bookcase
very chic
what is with these sewing machines?
David is that you?
woods beyond!
cosy
I could spend an age exploring this one
loving that vase
I know this porch very well
I am loving this. This idea was just the best!
ReplyDeleteAll of these homes look straight out of decorating magazines. I wish my life were that put together!
ReplyDeleteHaving passengers on board will keep Bluebell fixed to the road in the strong winds. Don't want you flying off into The Irish Sea!
ReplyDeleteA sofa coloured cat :o)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Meanqueen! I thought I was hallucinating the camouflaged kitty!
DeleteOh, these are all so inviting... and so intriguing.
ReplyDeleteso many different lives
ReplyDeleteReassuring to know such a fair number need a pussycat and/or dog to make their homes complete - probably more than we see where pets are out of shot.
ReplyDeleteA day trip to Bangor. How lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou got there before me, but now I've got to ask JayGee:-
DeleteOn the way back will you cuddle with Jack and open a bottle of cider?
Nice glass collection in one of the above, my corner, is my messy corner of the house.
ReplyDeleteI love how many pictures feature a pet in them. I just sent you an indoor one, but I want to find a good outdoor or porch shot as well. I love this idea so much! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThe gardens are lovely! I really dig the ones with plants. Or a fireplace. Or books. Reading is fundamental!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Lots of peace and comfort.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these photos but what do you have against sewing machines?
ReplyDeleteAll of these are so wonderful. I would love to sit in any one.
ReplyDeleteSending in a photo today.
cheers, parsnip
In Their Cozy Corners...
ReplyDeleteSome sews,
Some reads,
Some have pets of all breeds;
A Cozy Corner fills all our needs!
(Where is that porch with all the big dogs!!♥♥♥)
It's lovely Kim's home
DeleteHi John
ReplyDeleteThese 'corners' are all lovely, but I miss your interesting blog posts. Yours is the first blog I look up every day.
Hope you're all safe from the storm.
Eileen
The sewing machines are all about the delights of making fabric things (clothes, curtains, pillows, quilts...) for yourself. I'm a quilter and it's too much fun! I did not send you a photo of my sewing corners as this room looks like a tornado hit it. I have a small sign in my wee sewing room that says "Creativity is messy and I am VERY creative!"
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
Hugs :)
If that animal in one picture is a chicken, the legs look too thick unless it's something like a buff cochin so it's possible.
ReplyDeleteWhy, after seeing all these lovely corners, am I feeling the need to go out and get a sewing machine?
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing all of these lovely corners, I'm feeling the need to clean my house! I'll lay down until this feeling passes.
ReplyDeleteThe poor dear is bushed just by the viewing.....
DeleteI love looking at the interiors especially the ones that show a glimpse of the outside space maybe you could do one on that as well sometime John or one on Pets, I also recognize the lovely dogs in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteA diverse selection of corners from around the globe! We seem to share a love of comfort or a view of an outdoor space.
ReplyDeleteSome nice corners. I'm afraid you won't see mine for the simple reason it's never even occurred to me to DO anything with a corner, other than put myself in a fetal position in one after a particularly harrowing day at work.
ReplyDeleteA selfie..???
DeleteOh Kirk, that sounds so sad and I know just what you mean...I consider it but so far I have not given in.
DeleteOh look! mines there (ginger cat/conservatory), I forgot to say something about it: only place where you can't hear the tv but CAN hear the birds in the woods behind us singing - the acoustics of a dawn chorus in that room are akin to a sistine chapel!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these corner photos! It's a lovely insight into other peoples' lives :)
ReplyDeleteI just grabbed my model , ran out on the lanai, and put her in a corner.
ReplyDeleteLOL I sent you the photo.
