  4. My, I have enjoyed these corners...all so warm and comfy and homey. Isn't that what a home is all about?

And yes, I'm going out to get a sewing machine...I am sure I'm missing out on something here.

  5. The photo with the hula girl. I want to be introduced to the owner of that picture - I too have a curiosity cabinet in an antique barrister bookcase!

    1. that would be me! my aunt lived in east Texas. one day my father got a phone call from her. the library was modernizing, building regular shelves and they were selling off all the stacked bookcases for $5 a section. He borrowed a truck and drove out there and bought as many as he could get in the truck.

    3. I actually took a screen shot of your bookcase! I have never seen one before and had no idea what they were called, but the germ of an idea for possibly making one. Well, cobbling together something vaguely resembling it from junk!

  7. Everyone needs a corner. I suspect all those sewing machines belong to quilters.

I'm a quilter but my sewing machine wasn't in the photo I sent. The view from my kitchen window is the 9th picture down in this lot. :)

      Hugs!

  13. This has been lovely. Snapshots of special corners. My nine month old Labrador should have been in my photo as he is a huge part of my favourite corner but he was in his own corner when I took the photo !
    Lovely, thank you John x

  18. Actually the black tea was from Australia where I happen to drink it that way (have a lactose intolerance) but many have tea with milk. In Melbourne coffee is more popular though.
