ReplyDeleteI love that in the sewing machine picture (4th from the top) there is a cat looking in the window!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed every glimpse into the lives and surroundings of folks who are part of this wonderful community. Ta for the excellent idea and for posting the pictures, John.
ReplyDeleteHugs all around!
It's been fun hasn't it?....I have a few ideas for further comps xx
DeleteMy, I have enjoyed these corners...all so warm and comfy and homey. Isn't that what a home is all about?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'm going out to get a sewing machine...I am sure I'm missing out on something here.
Nice to have your comment dearheart xx
DeleteThe photo with the hula girl. I want to be introduced to the owner of that picture - I too have a curiosity cabinet in an antique barrister bookcase!
ReplyDeletethat would be me! my aunt lived in east Texas. one day my father got a phone call from her. the library was modernizing, building regular shelves and they were selling off all the stacked bookcases for $5 a section. He borrowed a truck and drove out there and bought as many as he could get in the truck.
DeleteLucky you! I have barrister bookcase envy!
DeleteI actually took a screen shot of your bookcase! I have never seen one before and had no idea what they were called, but the germ of an idea for possibly making one. Well, cobbling together something vaguely resembling it from junk!
DeleteI have loved looked at everyone's special comfy spots. Love all the different spaces.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
Everyone needs a corner. I suspect all those sewing machines belong to quilters.
ReplyDeleteI'm a quilter but my sewing machine wasn't in the photo I sent. The view from my kitchen window is the 9th picture down in this lot. :)
DeleteHugs!
Around these parts tea is full up with ice cubes.
ReplyDeleteThanks John, it was fun looking at the corners of everyones lives. I enjoyed them all.
ReplyDeleteSome brilliant corners, I particularly like the book corner, I would be SO at home there 🙂
ReplyDeleteI have so loved this. It has been such fun to have a peek into your readers lives. They are all wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI want a hula girl curtain!!
ReplyDeleteThis has been lovely. Snapshots of special corners. My nine month old Labrador should have been in my photo as he is a huge part of my favourite corner but he was in his own corner when I took the photo !
ReplyDeleteLovely, thank you John x
Comfy chairs and settees are obviously an important domestic item. Also a nice view out of the window.
ReplyDeleteI can hear the comforting floor creak in some of these.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely stuff.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great idea; there were so many lovely corners!
ReplyDeleteActually the black tea was from Australia where I happen to drink it that way (have a lactose intolerance) but many have tea with milk. In Melbourne coffee is more popular though.
