Feels good, doesn't it? Your getting out of the village inspired me. I went to a nice restaurant in the city and for the first time in ages got really "dolled up" first.Even if no one sees us after such pampering , it can turn a day around, boost confidence and mood,right?-Mary
My husband has a deep dark secret.... He has a tiny pot of Avon moisturiser tucked away in his car. His dry nose creases are a thing of the past! Look after yourself John, You deserve it x
A tiny touch of mascara is really good too!...Im not joking!!.One of my Grandsons mates wears a tiny bit and it makes his eyes look amazing...although dont go all Mary Quant on us though!
Do you mean your feet? You must learn to dry them properly after a bath or shower. Then douse liberally with athlete's foot powder. Moisturiser is unlikely to improve the condition.
Handy hint - make sure you can open the bathroom door after application. (Esp. true of "repair" type handcreams). After his dealings with skin cancer on his face last year, Howard is pretty diligent with sunblock & moisturiser (to keep the scar area supple). Feminist me takes the bins out more often than I seriously moisturise.
It does fell good to get all dolled up. My shoulders are straighter and I smile more. Good perfume or cologne can seriously bring me out of a solemn mood too. Have a good week. August is almost out the door. Gabs
Cary Grant always cheers me up! are you going to get a flouncy robe too? sending you lots of love from across the pond...reading these comments makes me want to run out and by some mascara..this old gal hasn't made up her face in years...
This is adorable. I remember a while back my husband started complaining that his eyes were sore and smarting. We couldn't work it out at all until one morning I saw him applying the Nivea for Men that I had suggested he try. He was rubbing it with both hands up and down his face and it was getting in his eyes. It never occurred to me to show him how to apply it - I grew up watching my Mum but I guess he never paid attention, or more likely that his mum never used it!
are you going out tonight?
ReplyDeleteOn a Sunday, in Wales?
Deleteoh crap, you don't have a car. FUCK! now I wanna punch somebody.
DeleteFinally

ReplyDeleteI shall do so too.
I love the film that little clip came from.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, I was just reading the other day about how Cary Grant was bisexual and had several intimate encounters with men. :)
I've heard that too! And who wouldn't have wanted to bed Cary Grant? He also did a LOT of LSD.
DeleteI'm sure he bedded plenty of people, and as you say, who would turn that down? :) I also knew about his penchant for LSD.
DeleteI am very curious about 'the everything'......
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too.
DeleteNext you'll be having a back, sack and crack wax!
ReplyDeleteJust woke the dog up laughing at this.
DeleteThat's the spirit!
ReplyDeleteIt’s never too late. Go you!
ReplyDeleteThere you go . . .
ReplyDelete“Spunk” returns . . .
Enjoy!
I wish my husband would use a moisturiser as he works outside in all weathers.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have baby soft skin x
Lips too.
ReplyDeleteIt puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again...

"...all of a sudden", really?
ReplyDeleteMy feet are like dragon skin! I need to fix that, but I'm not willing to wear socks quite yet (to keep greased-up feet from slipping on the floor) :)
ReplyDeleteMoisturizer works wonders to feel like a new person. So does a dab of cologne.
Great post !
ReplyDeleteEven better comments.
cheers, parsnip and badger
Like the housecoat - do you have a sexy one? If not then now is the time to splash out.
ReplyDeleteYou big girls blouse 🤣 XXXX
ReplyDeleteGuilty as charged

ReplyDeleteMy brother used to mascara his moustache so people could tell he had one. Not you so much, though.
ReplyDeleteI read it as you had put moisturiser on everything. x
ReplyDeleteAnd have dogs licked all off yet? I used to have a bitch that would try and eat Nivea out of the tin.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!!!! Bobbie
ReplyDelete'Bringing Up Baby', my all time favourite film!
ReplyDeleteBringing Up Baby. One of the greatest comedies ever.
ReplyDeleteCary Grant is one of my favorite actors of that era! He made so many wonderful movies and Bringing Up Baby was one. I also loved Arsenic and Old Lace.
ReplyDeleteCary Grant always cheers me up! are you going to get a flouncy robe too? sending you lots of love from across the pond...reading these comments makes me want to run out and by some mascara..this old gal hasn't made up her face in years...
ReplyDeleteI always liked him, it was the voice
DeleteI went and bought three new outfits for work today and it gave me a much-needed boost! Maybe try that this week, too. xx
ReplyDeleteI put moisturizer on every day. It's how I can still pass for 63.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Unfortunately, I'm only 62.
DeleteMe too! I must 'all gay' too then! Fun eh?
ReplyDeleteWinnie could use some of that.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyable pic and post when I needed it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWelcome old bean x

ReplyDeleteTipping a glass of Presecco at you John. I am partial to the odd face mask. Facial pampering is good, however shit we feel.
