  2. Exceptional and, in my experience, unique. Rare to see hope for humanity and the world crystallised into a couple of minutes, but this performance achieves it. We SO need it!

  4. OK, John Gray, you need to stop making me cry! (Not really. Make me cry like this whenever!)

  10. Interesting, John. The few times in my life I have some sort of grief, be it minor be it major, I tend to avoid music like the plague. Reason? Music is evocative. Last thing I need in a moment of reflection.

    2. Of course, it will [do you good].

Trust me, John, hanging my head in shame: The shorter the post the more I will miss. Give me an essay of mega proportions and I am all yours, the tiniest detail not escaping my attention. So, yes, of course, overlooked by me, YOU will be singing. That's great. Opening the diaphragm embracing life.

What a thrill - three tissues worth!

I join with all who are glad to read that you're joining the nearby Community Choir. After all, as I read long ago, "He who sings, prays twice."

I used to work in Queen Street in Cardiff when I was eighteen. Every time I heard the Welsh singing at Cardiff Arms Park for the Rugby tears would pour down my cheeks. Not a good look when you are trying to be cool. The Welsh singing still has the same effect on me forty year on. There is nothing like it. I think you will have a wonderful time, fantastic idea. Patricia.

  36. That was great. We have a choir in Toronto who challenged Rick Astley to sing with them. He accepted. The whole choir (and Rick)had the same sense of joy. Two thumbs up for you joining the choir.

  41. That's a great plan John. There's something very therapeutic about singing (in the shower, or alone in the car with the windows down!) and doubly so when singing with others. You don't have to be a Star Singer with a trained voice - I'm sure you'll love it.

  43. I've actually been asked not to join in a chorus of Happy Birthday. Gives you some idea of my singing skills...
