Well, won't that be an interesting funeral. I am not big on funerals, but if someone decides to "throw" me one, I want "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". -Jenn
I love this! Brings back happy memories. x
"I Won't Back Down" - tom petty.
I do not plan to have a service, but if I were to do so, perhaps I would use "So long and thanks for all the fish" from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG6b3V2MNxQ

My eldest boy has said that he will have 'Fat Bottomed Girls' played at my wake!
Like others here have said, I don't want a funeral but if someone chose to throw one then definitely play Del Amitri's Kiss This Thing Goodbye. =D
I just don't even know what to say.
Nige will have trouble hiring that particular duo for his funeral as Andy Williams died in 2012 and Petula Clark is 83 years old.
Petula's talent is underused in that clip.
Is this your normal opening conversation when a friend comes to stay?
At first I thought this was an expression used 'over there' when someone has died....".....Nige is over".I didn't think you were THAT glib, John!! lol
Is over what?
I have asked to go in to The Pearl Fishers duet and finish with Build Me Up Buttercup.
Blimming marvellous !I want Kirsty McCall "Days" & Simple Minds "Don't you forget about me"
I want to begin with Carmina Burana by Carl Orff (we had this for my Dad's funeral as both he and I love(d) this music), and I want Abba's 'Money, Money, Money' when everyone is leaving. My family think I'm joking about 'Money, Money, Money' but I'm not, I'm deadly serious!
I want 'Come on baby light my fire' as people leave the Crem (fits my warped sense of humour)
I want to be carried in to the strains of 'The Flower Duet', then a verse or two of 'Firestarter' and have people leave to 'I've Had the Time of My Life'.I also want the whole place to be full of Stargazer Lillies, if only to make sure of tears from folk with hayfever!
O dios mio! I want the minister to wear that shirt and tie!
I want Happy Trails, as sung by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
It occurs to me, was "Happy Heart" only what a man would sing about when this was recorded? I'm not citing a gender issue here; no reason to think that, as this was probably on the Andy Williams Show, EXCEPT that the female decorating the scene was not a model or actress. She was a famous singer. Perplexing. The only good funeral song I ever heard was played at the end of a service for a truly amazing woman: "Unforgettable."
I guess it's too late for me to have "Only The Good Die Young".
I have no idea .... I guess I should start to think about it ;-)
sorry mate, that is one crap song, in my opinion. The plastic, swimming hat, hair, the white boots........sorry gotta run to the bathroom.
My favourite place in the whole Wild world is Rome. So "Arrivederci Roma!". I want to exit from there.
I like the country hymn "I'll fly away"
I love this song!Jo in Auckland, NZ
