Charming, naturally funny, Nadiya have proved herself a worthy champion over
the delightfully sweet Tamal and the now quietly humble Ian
The champion, the show, the judges and the format
Is truly the Best Of British
Nadiya Cried, Ian cried, Tamal Cried, Mary even cried
I cried friggin buckets too
Wonderful tv
I agree. Great final, Nadiya what a star. Loved it. Jan B.
ReplyDeleteI sobbed at the end too - Nadiya just finished me off! Best Bake Off ending ever!
ReplyDeleteSuch a worthy winner on the day and she baked her own wedding cake, I'm an emotional wreck now. Brilliant, brilliant final.
ReplyDeleteI cried too - what a genuinely lovely lady - she thoroughly deserved to win and her family was so happy when her name was called - Brilliant! Xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a worthy winner Nadiya is..I've been rooting for her from the beginning. I must say also that Tamals cake decoration was genius.
ReplyDeleteYes I blubbed at the end too, even Mary got all emotional.
ReplyDeleteThat finished it for me
DeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteMe too. She was a worthy winner.
ReplyDeleteEven Mary Berry got a little emotional.
Lisa x
Brilliant, I cried at the end too. What amazing bakes. Su
ReplyDeleteawwwww, wish I could see this where I live.

I can't wait for this series ..... I know I keep saying it . X
ReplyDeleteI've just cried and I haven't seen a single episode. I just like cake.
ReplyDeleteEven you would have cried at the final Tom......
DeleteShe's got amazing eyes - I love dark eyes under dark eyebrows.
DeleteI feel like crying ..
ReplyDeleteCry away x
ReplyDeleteI have to wait until morning to see it here....I love this show. Just wish it could be on all the time. I'll miss it.
ReplyDeleteWatched the final here this morning....watery eyes. But look at all the participants and their families. So much happiness in one place. Please more of this program!
DeleteI would have cried but after reading all the responses again, I laughed. sorry.
ReplyDeleteI miss the show already.
ReplyDeleteHappy tears here too...go Nadiya! such a beautiful soul..x
ReplyDeleteI don't watch it but *everyone cried*? Really? I mean, REALLY? Gawd help us....
ReplyDeleteI am with Wanda !
DeleteWanda made me cry :(
DeleteI am so relieved that Nadya won it. I have managed to follow all of the episodes this season on YouTube, but I have to wait until the weekend before someone posts it up so I can watch it. I was getting a little jaded with BakeOff, but this year has been so watchable, especially because of Nadya, who is such a lovely, genuinely funny, person with the most extraordinary eyes!
ReplyDeleteShe was my favourite too - such a LOVELY person and a worthy winner, although I have to say, Tamal's show-stopper cake was INCREDIBLE! AND it tasted good!
ReplyDeleteI cried, too! I told my husband - not a dry eye in Britain tonight. (His were dry, he'd fallen asleep. But he did tell me to leave it on the disk so he could rewatch it tonight. He'd just had the worst tiring day.) It was glorious. And she's great.
ReplyDeletei cried too!
ReplyDeleteAll the classic cakes were wonderful. As Bovey Belle says, Tamal's sugar work was amazing. Nadiya's was the simplest but it was also the best in texture and flavour. And she had done well in the two earlier tests, so a worthy winner. (and she comes from up here in the North!)
She was a worthy winner! I did get nervous when all three had to carry their heavy creations outside. If it were me, I am sure that I would trip up and send the cakes flying!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was brilliant, and yes, she was a worthy winner, and to bring Mary Berry to tears well that finished it for me ... sniff sniff.
ReplyDeleteI've loved every minute of this series. I'll just have to watch Mary and Paul's Masterclasses to wean myself off it gradually.
Had to watch to see what all the tears were about..... great TV, sniff!

Thanks to your posting the link, I watched the show.
DeleteYup, I cried too, just a bit at first and then when the lovely Mary B got all teary I properly blubbed! What a great finale.
ReplyDeleteYou know when it is really good when you cry :)
Delete"I'm never going to put boundaries on myself again." OK, I don't mean this to be mean or narrow minded, but isn't that useless thing on her beautiful head quite a huge boundary invented by males? Or is that just my ethnocentric conception of it? This show sounds a lot more absorbing than Cupcake Wars. Is it sponsored by a tissue company?
