We had lots of paintings, so many that we had to exhibit some with the international novelty veg
The floral art is perhaps our smallest class which has been dwarfed somewhat by the photo class ( our own Yorkshire Pudding won the " Relaxation " photo class ) which did cause a bit of a stir wih many competitors ....( more about that later!)

Lovely artwork, and a well deserved Second with your photo of Winnie. Relaxation at it's best is what Bulldogs do so well.
ReplyDeleteYou have to tell us the gossip on YP's win .......
Well I take it I didn't win for the international entries, but, I did see a picture of it in the bottom corner. I'll have you know, John Gray, that I was the best in show blue ribbon winner of my local garden show many years ago (though not with my international entry). Our club was The Venus Fly Traps. Oh how I would have loved to crow about winning at a garden show in Wales.
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued to learn why my winning photo caused a stir! Was it because they thought that the subject was The Flower Show Secretary after a typically wild night out at "All Bar One" in Sheffield?
ReplyDeleteThe displays are so tastefully done. Great looking entries.
ReplyDeleteLove those gorgeous mini floral displays!
