You're kidding!

I am so jealous
My best friend Nuala has just texted me
She's in New York
And was standing next to Meryl Streep at a bar!
We need another trip to the big apple
It's been too long
Chris and I in Central Park a while back.....a selfie  before selfies were famous

    1. Yes, U2 were adorable - whatever happened to them? Bono was my favourite.

  9. You two cutie pies. If I found myself standing next to Meryl Streep, I'm afraid I'd embarrass myself in some way. Pee my pants and cry.

    Love,

  10. Wow and I hope Meryl wasn't looking like Maggie Thatcher. I was originally informed that a "selfie" was another word for masturbation.

    Have a jolly good weekend.

    Gary :)

  11. Love the photo, love the hats, lovely couple.
    Love Meryl
I think she sounds like she would be fun to hang out at a bar with !

When I lived in Laguna Beach we always saw lots stars walking around. I never met her but when I was a real estate agent my office had the listing on Betty Davis first home in Laguna Beach.
So many Old and Fabulous Hollywood came down to get away. Lots of getaways !
I use to say " Oh by the way would you be interested in see her home ? She planted the palms in the front yard !

    cheers, parsnip

  14. Being adjacent To La Streep takes some beating, but I believe I can do just that. I once said "Excuse me, please" to Jesus Christ himself! - or Robert Powell, as he was at that time. (He was standing in my way as I tried to exit an Oxford Film Festival screening.)

Re your photo - I can't help noticing that both of you had identical facial 'topiary', so the question must be "Just coincidence?"

  19. I was having similar thoughts about London the other day, it has been too long since my last visit. If you want to visit Washington DC let me know.

  20. I once sat one table over from Angie Dickinson and Burt Bacharach at a Chinese restaurant in Manhattan called Mandarin East. As they have been divorced for decades, it was obviously a long time ago (1967). Some of you are so young you probably have never even heard of either one of them, but it was a memorable occasion.
