My best friend Nuala has just texted me

And was standing next to Meryl Streep at a bar!
We need another trip to the big apple
It's been too long

U 2 R adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, U2 were adorable - whatever happened to them? Bono was my favourite.
DeleteBurst my bubble why don't you?
DeleteAnne Marie took the words right out of my mouth.....
ReplyDeletewhat an attractive couple you two are. it's hard to decide who is better looking. i had no idea meryl streep hung out in bars.
ReplyDeleteShe was at the bar at Madison square gardens
DeletePs it's me
Deletea fine looking couple
ReplyDeleteNice hats, too eh?
DeleteA lovely looking couple .... of hats ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhen was that picture taken? Meryl would be a most excellent bar buddy.
ReplyDeleteWe are right around the corner , well 5 hours or so but your welcome to stop by for a stay on the farm when you visit :)
ReplyDeleteps I lost you when I opted out of google + but figured out how to get back here finally !
DeleteWhat a pair of sweeties you are. Time to book your next vacation?
ReplyDeleteYou two cutie pies. If I found myself standing next to Meryl Streep, I'm afraid I'd embarrass myself in some way. Pee my pants and cry.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Wow and I hope Meryl wasn't looking like Maggie Thatcher. I was originally informed that a "selfie" was another word for masturbation.
ReplyDeleteHave a jolly good weekend.
Gary :)
Love the photo, love the hats, lovely couple.
ReplyDeleteLove Meryl
I think she sounds like she would be fun to hang out at a bar with !
When I lived in Laguna Beach we always saw lots stars walking around. I never met her but when I was a real estate agent my office had the listing on Betty Davis first home in Laguna Beach.
So many Old and Fabulous Hollywood came down to get away. Lots of getaways !
I use to say " Oh by the way would you be interested in see her home ? She planted the palms in the front yard !
cheers, parsnip

ReplyDeleteGreat photo.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to get ahead, get a hat!
ReplyDeleteBeing adjacent To La Streep takes some beating, but I believe I can do just that. I once said "Excuse me, please" to Jesus Christ himself! - or Robert Powell, as he was at that time. (He was standing in my way as I tried to exit an Oxford Film Festival screening.)
ReplyDeleteRe your photo - I can't help noticing that both of you had identical facial 'topiary', so the question must be "Just coincidence?"
I hope Meryl Streep was aware of whom she was standing next to.
ReplyDeletei stood next to michall caine in the delie department at harrods one does that count for any think ho and you are better looking then you sound
ReplyDeleteJealous lots... I love NY.
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect picture, Fine looking couple.

I was having similar thoughts about London the other day, it has been too long since my last visit. If you want to visit Washington DC let me know.
ReplyDeleteI once sat one table over from Angie Dickinson and Burt Bacharach at a Chinese restaurant in Manhattan called Mandarin East. As they have been divorced for decades, it was obviously a long time ago (1967). Some of you are so young you probably have never even heard of either one of them, but it was a memorable occasion.
ReplyDeleteEh? Would you mind repeating that?
