Most dogs crave affection
Scottish terriers like George love an occasional rub
Welsh terriers adore to lap sit
And bulldogs
Well bulldogs will seek out and initiate
a full on,
No hold barred,
hug, smooch and snog
I have likened it to being
sexually molested by a hairy, four legged Buster Keaton
Oh bless her, that's a proper hug, they do love affection.
ReplyDeletepuppy love!
ReplyDeleteWhat abundance you have! xo
ReplyDeleteLucky you!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour title sounds like a headline from The Mirror or The Enquirer..
ReplyDeleteNot entirely sure where the dog ends and you start...
ReplyDeleteThat's been said before
DeleteAwwwwww. What an old dear she is.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a snuggly arm-ful.
ReplyDeleteDon't press charges :)
ReplyDeletei want a bull dog hug.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of Winifred to hug too, lovely curvy girl she is x
ReplyDeleteShe is a loving girl! You are a lucky man!
ReplyDelete"Like"
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lap cat in disguise. Maybe that explains all the extra skin.
ReplyDeleteWinnie is my favorite supporting character in the blog "Going Gently."
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dogs. Have you considered an Irish canine addition?
DeleteAll of Gt Britain would then be represented.
There IS an Irish terrier me thinks
DeleteGo for it...we were a labrador household when the kids were small but now have two Cavalier Spaniels and a Malshy! Teddy the Malshy has the biggest personality I have ever met. Funny, but after two dogs you don't seem to notice the extra additions. Well, until you get in the car that is! Teddy is often propositioned by our rescued breeding Cavalier (the reversing rear into the nose) and has adopted the same look of detached indifference as your dog.
DeleteI think that is Malshi!
DeleteJohn,
ReplyDeleteWinnie is very thankful you took her in.
Dogs are very intelligent.
Awwwww. I can practically feel that hug.She looks like a dog who can make you feel like all is right with the world.
ReplyDeleteSlobber, slobber. Hope you had a towel within reach.
ReplyDeletePugs are the same John - mustbe something to do with the nose.
ReplyDeleteYou appear to be enjoying the moment just like Winnie. Blissful!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have to be settled in when Winnie decides to give love--she looks like she could bowl you over. What a love.
ReplyDeleteAdmit it...you love the attention, too.
ReplyDeleteToo bloody right
DeleteThat's a lotta wrinkles! :)
ReplyDeleteCheeky bitch!
DeleteShe is such a big ball of love. LOL
ReplyDeleteSo am I baby
DeleteI don't quite know what to say?!!! Just to change the subject, I have put an easy recipe on my blog for sweets. Thought you (or someone you know) might want to make some for the upcoming show. They are so easy to make. x
ReplyDeleteOff to look x
DeleteNow, that is a creature living in the moment & enjoying her reunion with her beloved caretaker. Love that Winnie's eyes are glazed over as she soaks in every second of your embrace. I can almost hear the sigh she let out at the end of the hug.
ReplyDeleteAn animal that has experienced living where they do not feel properly loved or that they are a permanent part of the family always appreciates a permanent loving home far more than a dog that has always been properly loved secure in where they belong. You have given Winnie far more than just a place to hang her undies.
She's a big bundle of inconsistencies
DeleteGoodness, I can't imagine being sexually molested by Buster Keaton. It looks more like you're grappling with Jennifer Paterson.
ReplyDeleteI have done that in my time too
DeleteBulldogs are so affectionate, including pit bulls who have been raised properly.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Makes a change from being sexually molested by Buster Gonad.
ReplyDeleteDone that enough in my youth
DeleteWinnie loves you so much! I'd say that the feeling is mutual. :)
ReplyDeleteBless xxxx
ReplyDeleteJohn, I'm just catching up with your last few posts. Do you mind if I ask what's wrong with your little dog's skin? Our dog had terrible problems which went on for months, severe itching to the point she was bald inside her legs and on her tummy, and extremely dry skin and serious dandruff. We changed her food and put her on a high quality gluten free dry food, soaked in water. Also I started giving her evening primrose oil every day as the vet suggested and 3 or 4 tins of sardines in oil every week. It took several weeks before we noticed any change but gradually she improved enormously. I've also discovered that she's better sleeping on a cotton sheet inside her bed rather than dog fleecey blankets. And if she eats any doggy treats eg at Christmas she becomes really itchy again. Sorry for the long winded comment, but I wanted to help because it was awful watching our lovely dog suffering the way she did. She now has much more energy too.
ReplyDeleteWe have not got to the bottom of it as yet....
DeleteThe vet thinks it's related to his anal glands
I won't elaborate x
LOVE...that is all!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet ...
ReplyDeleteGoodness! You could get lost under there. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a god weekend, John, and thanks for stopping by. ♥
She looks so sweet

ReplyDeleteI never get tired of seeing Winnie pics. Your blog and Winnie often make a crummy day so much better!
ReplyDeleteDog damn it, John. I never thought that one day I'd have less chance to slobber over a guy than the likes of Winifred.
