Blues

I think I am having " one of those days " today
Nothing major
No great crisis
Just an accumulation of little things
1. The weather is getting me down. It's wet again today. My  bosoms are
Completely waterlogged and my leeks, although wonderfully fragrant
are not overly impressive

2. In the fields beyond the riding stables , some sort of construction or demolition is going on
for all day we are being subjected to loud sawing and grinding
It's low level noise pollution..but it's driving me mad

3. My wonderful dog groomer has just rung to tell me she is no longer going to " cut hair"
" bollocks"

4. I didn't sleep well
5. Someone has vomited the remains of a mouse all over the duvet
6. I have just remembered that I am working both Saturday & Sunday night shift
7. The gusset has just gone in my favourite long johns
And
The Walking Dead doesn't return for another fortnight

Like I said just small things
But they mount up.

I need spring to arrive
Hey ho

  1. I find that it helps to put it in words and get it out, and move on. Find something funny and have a good laugh. "Someone" shouldn't be eating mice - oh you probably mean a different Someone.

  5. Raining here in Ireland. My back is aching with the damp and my Leeks look like they have gost rust. Don't we live in a terrible climate? The Snowdrops certainly help to cheer us up. Think its time to book a Sun holiday!

  7. Could it be that you're missing those bastards??? I think you should go round to Bunty's house and pay a visit. She will have your face up off the floor before you can catch your breath!

Sometimes all those little things are worse to deal with than one major one. Hope you are improving as the day goes on.

  9. It's that time of year...end of January always depressing...our daffs are starting to shoot up already, ahead of the violets and snow drops...but that must surely mean spring is within sight!

  11. Go buy some bulbs and get them going in a pot inside...something to look forward to! Get a large puzzle and work on it daily...keep your mind busy. This morning it's 4 degrees with a -10 wind chill. I'm going to work on sewing a bright new baby quilt for a new great niece who will be making an appearance in 2 months. Hope the sun shines on you soon....but we all have these days on occasion don't we?

  13. You should just do what Miss Nora is doing on my blog today........you'll feel so much better afterwards!!!

Hang in there, at least you don't have to wait until the end of April for Spring like us here in Canada!!

  14. I think you might have a bad dose of Januaryitis for which I prescribe five pints of foaming Tetley's bitter and a doner kebab with a warm scotch egg on the side. If that doesn't do the trick your earlship you'll just have to wait until spring has sprung.

  15. I'd say, "go back to bed and pull the covers over your head" but you can't do that with the puked up remains on the duvet and your gusset gone.

The sun will come up tomorrow - maybe. You can only hope.

Over at mrsnesbitt's space she posted a Mercedes -Benz TV "Chicken" ad for me. I always ask about her hens.
I must have watched this ad 20 times. So if you haven't seen it already find it (I can't seem to link it) and put it on loop. It will make you smile.

    The Square Ones send woofs...
    cheers, parsnip

  22. Have a nap while the duvet is being washed. Or visit the George Clooney vet and ask him if he knows any good dog groomers as yours will no longer cut hair.

  26. You need to get away for more than a quick dash to London.....really. You are always doing for everyone else and definitely need a few days away. Now I know you are going to say it is more trouble than it's worth to line up people to help and that might be true but when is the last time you had a vacation?

  27. The big things you can kick up the arse, but it's the smaller issues that get in your nooks and crannies. Hope things improve, and that your double night shift is a positive one John.
