Telephone call from Bunty two hours after she picked up the bastards:-
Bunty : " Just checking......will the geese eat hen pellets until I get some goose mix?"
Me: " no problem...they have been eating pellets here" pause and deep breath"....have you had any problems so far?"
Bunty ( Queen of the understatement )
" we have had a couple of tussles " she Bellowed
" but now , I think they have the measure of me"
I do hope she keeps in touch
I rather like her
I rather like her
I am sure she'll soon get them under control........
ReplyDeleteLove her that Bunty...no wait, LOVE that woman (She the queen of the understatement) May she and those little bastards have a wonderful life together. Let them eat cake!
ReplyDeleteI like no holds barred, comfortable in their own skin types.
ReplyDeleteI daresay she will wrestle the bastards into submission.
ReplyDeletei like her too!
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like the perfect goose owner, and your life just became a little easier.
ReplyDeleteOh Bunty sounds like the perfect friend to have... maybe you and she can collaborate on those cast-offs that you manage to acquire.... sure sounds like she's capable of it all.....
ReplyDeleteThey've met their match.
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like my old sports mistress!
ReplyDeleteJane x
I was thinking the same thing lol Jolly hockey sticks and all that !!
DeleteTake care
Cathy
I'm a proponent of authority, too.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, Col. Klink comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteI hope she does, too. I'd like to hear how things go. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteOh my, she could be a chapter or two in your book. She has a fan base and all.
ReplyDeleteYou go, Bunty! They have met their match. Now that is not saying that you didn't hold your own with The Bastards, John. But I am thinking she will take a different approach.
ReplyDeleteI think my money's on Bunty.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteI like her already.
cheers, parsnip
I do like straightforward capable people. Don't know as I could live with one full time, but I like being around them now and then to get an infusion of spirit and cheer. Bunty sounds like a very cheerful lady.
ReplyDeleteShe sounds formidable. The geese might as well give in quietly.
ReplyDeleteBunty sounds like quite the character. Those poor bastards.
ReplyDeleteMarvellous!
ReplyDeleteI can't help thinking that with a friend like Bunty I might have come through my divorces rather better than I did............
They've met their match :-)
ReplyDeleteBunty? is that her real name? what a vision I have of her!! marvellous.
ReplyDeleteAFM xx
'Bunty and the Bastards' lol imagine that, sounds like a good read lol

Sounds like someone I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of, or there'd be glacial exchanges for months.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I think the geese have met their match!
Bunty sounds like a wonderful woman.
ReplyDeleteShe's great. You could keep in touch with her.
ReplyDeleteYes please - a regular update on 'Bunty's Bastards' would be a treat! Perhaps you could ask her to do a guest post.... *runs away* ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think we all hope to hear more Bunty stories! Did you mention your blog to her?
ReplyDeleteOh, I do hope she become a regular feature on your blog... she's wonderful!
ReplyDelete...ah but does she have the measure of them? Hope to hear more about Bunty and her bastards
ReplyDeleteTussles? I can imagine her wrestling them to the ground and her partner refereeing!!!
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like a book....."Bunty and the Bastards"!
ReplyDeleteWell, it is official, you have the best blog in the whole universe. Thanks be to God :)
ReplyDeleteYes, please tell Bunty this corner of BlogLand would like to hear from her occasionally and see how she is faring. If the Bastards thought you were tough, John, i'm thinking they're realising now you were simply the appetizer, whetting them for the entree.
ReplyDeleteBunty sounds just what they need
