Went the Day Well?
?
This is one of my favourite movies......I wonder why?
"A strange group of British villagers fight off the bosh!"
It could have been filmed in Trelawnyd
Complete with the Post mistress running amok with an axe!
I can forgive them that, but I still get outraged when the priest gets shot in 'Rome - Open City' (was it that one?) I don't know how you can be so sniffy about the Powell and Pressburger one I sent you, when you so obviously seem to love the old WW2 propaganda flicks... oh well.
Never saw it but now that I know about it, I will find it and watch it. Don't like anything to do with war, but will try this one out. Is it one that I will end up crying abou? Love those, I'm Irish amd misery is part of my heritage.
Didn't they do a modern day colour re-make of that with Donald Sutherland playing some 5th columnist Irish game keeper - plan was to capture Churchill using Nazi troops disguised as Polish paratroopers?
How funny - I have been meaning to get that film, I've never seen it. It looks like my sort of flick!
