"I'll admit I may have seen better days, but I'm still not to be had for the price of a cocktail, "(Margo Channing)
frankie and the weather
Sorry to overshadow my previous "royal" blog entry but on impulse I used my knackered old camera to "video" the depressing weather
I must have a bug as I have felt nauseous off and on all day and had a hope I could lie on the couch in front of the fire feeling sorry for myself; but the fencing on the Church wall needed repairing, eggs needed to be delivered and Frankie needed toilet and road training ( she pees just once a day and is incredibly nervous of traffic) , so we have had to brave the gales to get things done.

Goodness!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself (and Frankie). Hope you get well soon!
This is, unfortunately, the time of year for getting sick if you're going to at all.
Frankie is not impressed with the weather, is she! Take care, John!
ReplyDeleteShe's a smart girl. I wouldn't want to be out in that either. Having said that, it's almost as bad here and Boris had 2 walks today.
ReplyDeleteMy friend who lives in Aberystwyth has a love hate relationship with your blog since Frankie came on the scene. She lost her bulldog not so long ago and finds it a little painful seeing Frankie.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon and batten down the hatches.....
Briony
pretty much looks like the weather in my part of the world...
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better John.
take care.
We are having the same weather here! Windy-wind, rain and cold...brrrrr. My lady has a garden swing that flew up into the air! She said, "good thing you are plump, Isobelle, or you'd go flying through the air too". Hey! Is that a compliment? mmmmmm. Tee hee.
ReplyDeleteWindy, wet, and cold, aah November weather :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you are feeling poorly, especially the nausea, that's the worst, sounds like you DO have a bug.
Poor Frankie, just when she thinks she has it made, sleeping her days away, snoring and flopped on the couch, you make her learn some discipline ;)
I love your videos, John. Spare a thought for the Cornish - for once they have it worse than you.
ReplyDeletetom.....
ReplyDeletenever mind corwall
its memememememememe!
Serves you right for moving to Wales! It remains considerably drier over here in Sheffield. I strolled down South Road, Walkley today in my Bermuda shorts and flip flops. Jealousy is an ugly emotion.
ReplyDeletepud
ReplyDeleteI lived just off the end of south road.....Providence road 1989 to 1997!!!
The weather looks bad, but Frankie looks adorable. Is she off the tripe yet?
ReplyDeleteyes terry......
ReplyDeleteno more tripe smelling the house out!!!!
Very different to what we've got here! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'll take some video of the day and put it up on my blog.
Blowing a stupid gale here today John...what is that about! Sadly though I didn't have a Frankie-girl to make it all better for me! Lucky John!
ReplyDeleteGale or no gale, I LOVE the videos of your property, animals, and the countryside! Take care and I hope you're back to your old self soon, John.
ReplyDeleteI just got caught up on your blog. I sure hope you're feeling better! Get your butt in the house and sit by the fire! You need to take care of yourself ~ just think of all the souls that count on you to care for them or to brighten their day (that would be us blog-readers)
ReplyDeletePoor you - hope you feel better soon. There is a bug doing the rounds here & we have all had it too.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteThe ducks look happy with the weather.
Sorry you have to be out in that wind.
Take care!
Frankie looks miserable too.
You can use each other as an anchor so you don't get blown away. Brrrrr
hi John thanks for all your efforts with computer, finally working hopefully you will receive this message .Janets has gone so fingers crossed Also thanks for the lovely meal last week poor Frankie has got a long winter ahead
ReplyDeleteJohn it looks like we had the same weather yesterday as you show in this video. Only ours turned to big wet splotches of snow...it just melted on the ground thank heavens. We're bright and sunny with frost this morning but will warm up by noon. I hope today is a better one for you so Frankie can relax a bit more. Poor girl. Enjoy your day! Maura :)
ReplyDeleteBlimey, that brought back memories of when I was in the Army, cold, wet and miserable, oh so very bloody miserable, digging holes in Sennybridge Training Area!
ReplyDeleteDon't give up on her...she'll take to the outdoors soon enough if she gets enough chances. It took Dane a few years to get over some of his worst dislikes (strange men) but he eventually became a lover and thinks everyone comes around just to adore him now. Frankie is a DOLL btw...
