Bollocks

My shed literally exploded around 9pm

God only knows where the sides and the roof are......somewhere over at Pippa's house on the other side of the Church no doubt!
Dressed in Chris' pyjama bottoms and an anorak, I took my trusty wind up torch to survey the storm damage so far ( according to the met office , the wind is due to get worse!)
Not only had my shed sailed merrily over Trelawnyd, the duck house roof had almost peeled away and Bunny's enclosure ( for those that dont know Bunny is the hen that was crippled by the infamous dog attack of a couple of years ago)......has all but been destroyed ( Bunny was safe in her rabbit hutch which I had already weighted down with bricks)
Hughie, Ivy and Alf are still hanging on in there in the Elm tree

  3. Talked to relatives over in Cheshire and they said they had released all the school children early, as a gale was brewing. It sounds like a bad one, I hope you find your shed roof, and everyone stays safe and sound.

  10. You see what happens when I reap the artichoke harvest!

It's a bit blowy here. I found the lid of my compost bin outside the pub.

Hang on, wasn't I wearing it as hat earlier?

It is either very windy, or I've been drinking again!

  11. Good luck, John - it's a bit blowy down here in Bath, but my animals are safely strapped to the ceiling, so hoping for the best. Lets hope that the throttled cocks don't come back to haunt you! Let us know how it all goes in the morning (and if the pajamas survived).

  12. That all sounds quite bad, I hope it is over soon and you can collect any poor creatures that have been displaced. I'll bet the runner ducks are something else about now. Stay safe, let us know that you all are okay!

  13. I'm in Angola and was bemused at all the odd stuff landing in my garden, John. Now I know where it is all coming from.

I'll bag it up and send it back but I'll borrow the strimmer for the time being if you don't mind!

Would it be cheeky of me to ask you to leave an extension cable out in your garden tonight?

  16. I remember when on the coast of Wales (a few years ago) the trees were growing at an angle... opposite direction of the coast. I guessed it was from the wind off the ocean.
Storms like this must come rather often,eh?
Another unique feature of your beautiful country, along with its warm and friendly people.

  17. Wow! Hang in there mate! We've just had a spot of weather that is most unusual for this time of the year, but seems to be settling to afternoon showers and the odd thunder storm nowdays!

  19. Hope you don't get any further damage and you round them all up in the morning. It's terrible lying in bed listening to the howling, bangs and rattles.
