The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Hellfire)

With all the plaudits being thrown at Toystory 3 , I wanted to flag up some of the more overlooked animated movies, which are in my opinion are classics of their own.

This is Tony Jay's towering performance as Frollo in Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame

  1. Nice!

I have a soft spot for POCAHONTAS, especially the "Colors of the Wind" sequence.

"You think the only people who are people/Are the people who look and think like you/But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger/You'll learn things you never knew you never knew..."

Ah, Disney wisdom. And shamelessly ripped off by James Cameron for AVATAR.

  2. WOW!

I may just have to watch that one! What a powerful performance ~ I almost forgot that he's an animation!

    Thanks for sharing the clip.

  3. A classic - pity about the happy ending.

  4. I love animated movies (haven't seen Toy Story, but probably won't). What the folks are doing with animation now, is going to put people out of a job. My favorite is 300.

  5. Just popped in to say hi & catch up with your news. Bless little Nell, - it is indeed very moving to be a part of any animal's dying moments & a blessing to be able to be with them so that they depart this world knowing they are loved. Expecting my usual tellings off for not blogging enough, but I'm trying to get there - honest guv! Much love, S xx
